In this recording, I talk about why meditation often feels harder than it needs to be, especially if you’re just starting out. A lot of us get stuck because we have all these expectations, like meditation should instantly calm us down or clear our minds completely. But when you treat meditation like something you need to “get” or achieve (or if you’re meditating while striving to “get” all the benefits) it actually makes it tougher. I share my own experience and how changing the way I thought about meditation made all the difference. Instead of trying to reach for something, I learned to just tune into what’s already here, the calm, the peace, the joy that’s always available. That shift made meditation way easier and more enjoyable for me, and I hope it can do the same for you.
