Welcome to the final episode of The Nexus podcast for this year.
This week's episode is really something special and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to sit down with Rabbi Joseph Dweck, somebody who has impacted the UK Jewish communities in so many ways over the past 12 years of his leadership and guidance and I highly recommend for people who want to explore more over by Rabbi Dweck's teachings to go online and search for his classes.
In addition to his years of service to both Shuls and schools in the Us, in 2013, Rabbi Joseph Dweck was elected Senior Rabbi of the S&P Sephardi Community with a stunning 270-4 vote, later inaugurated at the historic Bevis Marks Shul.
Since then, Rabbi Dweck has become one of the most prominent Jewish voices in the UK — earning himself a number of prestigious positions and eloquently and artfully interfacing between the Jewish community and The wider UK public at large.
It is a true honour to have spent time in Rabbi Dweck's home, having this conversation a few short months before he and his family relocate to their new home in Israel.
I hope you enjoy

Ari Leaman has dedicated his life to saving the lives of youth who have been dealt some of life's biggest challenges.
With a warm and caring approach, and the genuine belief that behind all the pain and suffering is a soul that can be ignited to live a healthy productive life, Ari and his team at The Boys Clubhouse have achieved the unimaginable.
Creating a safe, vibrant home away from home for these boys, giving them the ability to reconnect with themselves, discover and develop their skills, create a strong social support network, and letting them learn to believe in themselves once more.
Every child has the potential to succeed.
The journey for some may have been long and painful but with patience, love, encouragement and a huge range of vital resources, the narrative for so many struggling boys, has been completely rewritten.
I hope you enjoy

Welcome back to the show. Today’s conversation is one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.
My guest is Yitzi Ginsbury, a name synonymous with commitment, leadership, and quiet strength within our community.
Many will know him through his tireless work with Ezra Care, but his impact stretches far beyond that.
From his role at Jewel to his presence as a trusted voice bridging community needs and public institutions.
In this episode, we’ll explore Yitzi’s journey, from the foundations of Ezra Care and its incredible growth, to the challenges of expanding services, managing behind-the-scenes operations, and representing our community with clarity and diplomacy.
We’ll also touch on the deeply personal: Yitzi’s own medical journey, the resilience it demanded, and the extraordinary way he continued to serve others even while facing his own battle.
I hope you enjoy

This week I'm delighted to share with you my conversation with Mattis Orgel.
Mattis founded one of the UK's leading kitchen manufacturers and suppliers, and his journey to get there is nothing short of remarkable.
So often we watch businesses from the outside seeing the build, seeing the development, seeing the growth, but rarely do we understand the long and arduous path that it took to get there.
Mattis doesn't shy away from sharing about his challenge with ADHD, how it helped form his vision for the business but how it also set up tremendous obstacles that he had to learn to circumvent.
Stick around to the end where you'll hear about financial policies when it comes to borrowing money to help fuel growth for business, and how refusing to rely on debt has helped carry the business through difficult times.
There's plenty of gold dust here for many people in business, regardless of which industry you're in.

This week on The Nexus Podcast, I had the privilege of sitting down with Shraga Zaltzman.
Shraga spent over a decade leading Work Avenue, where he helped hundreds of individuals identify their strengths, build new skills, and step into careers that brought purpose and stability into their lives.
But his work went far beyond job placements. It was about restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and empowering people to take control of their future.
Even after stepping back from his official role, Shraga remains a trusted voice for those seeking career direction or looking to grow their businesses.
What makes this episode truly special is hearing how Shragas personal journey, facing personal difficulties from a young age, to rebuilding from the ground up, became the very foundation for the work he’s done for so many others.
I hope you enjoy

Maxi was somebody I reached out to before I even launched my first episode. At the time, I had little to show for myself, and Maxi declined my request for a conversation.
Fast forward, and gratefully we managed to lock down a time to meet and talk.
Maxi is a larger than life character and we enjoyed a fascinating conversation where he shared personal opinions and experiences on a broad range of topics, including building and scaling a business, dealing with personal setbacks and early childhood hardships, learning how to cut out the noise and stay focused on the end goal and perhaps most importantly, a valuable lesson in learning to build a healthy relationship with the ever growing demands on our attention from technology.
I hope you enjoy and benefit from listening to this conversation as much as I enjoyed having it.

Welcome back to Part 2 of my conversation with Gedalia Miller.
We've all seen the signage and we've all seen the adverts for the incredible Shabatons advertised by Kesher Nafshi

Besides, for the logistics of arranging such weekends, I wanted to understand what impact these events provide for the attendees and how the journey of launching such intensely scheduled programmes evolved and what the vision was from the onset.
Kesher Nafshi has embedded itself across dozens of communities globally providing not just spiritual, emotional and psychological healing to families going through this challenging chapter but more importantly in its continuously expanding level of in reach to new communities, providing training, events, and one-to-one family Care helping struggling teens, their parents, siblings and extended families navigate this journey with understanding compassion and lasting success.
Join me on my conversation with Gedalia Miller as we discover the magic of Kesher Nafshi
Once again, a huge thank you to Maxim Cohen from the UK Finance Group for his continued support of this podcast.

I had the privilege of sitting down, with the two and only, Avi & Yaakov Barr, who besides for their busy respective schedules, have carved out the time to found one of the UK’s most critical organisations, Jteen.
As you will soon hear, the energy between Avi and Yaakov is something to be admired, two brothers working together to completely change the landscape of teen mental health.
Besides, for the staggering amount of calls and messages they take through their anonymous hotline, supporting teenagers from all walks of life navigate the
challenges they are facing , JTeen also organizes workshops, training events and is bringing New material to school curriculums to further advance positive change in teenage mental health.
Where do such busy people find the time to found and grow charities?
What are the core issues facing teenagers today?
How has the landscape changed since JTeen was founded?
And What can we do to position ourselves for better mental health?
All this and more in this week's episode.

Sitting down with Yitzi Bude from charity extra was really eye-opening. Sometimes we think that people just make it to wherever they are without realizing that behind the success that we see today is actually a journey. Sometimes a very hard journey. Many small pieces of a complicated puzzle. Slowly painstakingly falling into place until the picture starts to take shape.
Charity extra collectively is on route to reaching a billion pounds raised for charities across the world. Here is yitz story of how he pushed through A challenging financial landscape until his picture began to take shape.

Born and raised in Israel, Asaf completed his university studies and embarked upon his remarkable musical journey. Accompanying several bands in his home country and from an early stage acting as both musician and band leader, Asaf left for Amsterdam to study his main love, Jazz.
After six years of intense study, gigging in Jazz bars and at many private events all over Europe and graduating with outstanding scores in Jazz piano, a chance meeting with Jeremy led to the start of a fantastic bond between the two, which eventually brought Asaf to London.
A more talented, passionate, versatile and energetic musician than Asaf is hard to find, when you put that together with the single minded ambition to create a better product week after week as he does, the results are phenomenal.

Naomi Lerer, CEO of noa Girls in London shares with us some truly profound ideas surrounding mental health in children, teenagers and adults, educating us on the fundamentals surrounding various types of mental struggles & how we as the wider community can learn to understand what we are truly seeing, along with practical tips and advice on how to strengthen the mental wellbeing of ourselves, and of those around us.
We also discovered that mental health and mental illness are two completely different things which can co-exist if managed correctly.
⚠️ A word of caution that in this episode we discuss suicidal ideation, self harm and other forms of mental illness. Please consider your surroundings when playing this episode.
