It’s been a month since I’ve dropped a new episode, which wasn’t my plan. It’s been 3 weeks since I posted on Instagram. Also, not planned. So what happened? Overwhelm. I’m talking big overwhelm. On par for what a year 2020 has been overwhelm. So here I am in a season of struggling to focus, barely keeping up and feeling like there’s no end in sight. Then, cut to me listening to an episode of the Jasmine Star show. It’s funny I don’t know if this happens to you, but I will have podcasts on while I’m working or cleaning or doing something so I’m not 100% focused on the entire conversation, but something that really hits home or something I really need to hear will be said and my brain is like - hold up rewind that, that’s talking to you. I really don’t think I had heard anything from this episode until she said...
In this episode we’re going to talk about leaning into discomfort. So many of us struggle with the discomfort that tells us to run away, instead of lean in. And I’ve touched on this topic, but I think that if there ever was a topic that needed to get brought up often, it would be this one. Because even though I’m more aware than ever of the need to lean into discomfort, and to get comfortable being uncomfortable, it never truly becomes an easy thing to do. And as much as I would love to say I’ve gotten past stalling to start something new in my life due to the discomfort it brings...I haven’t. It will always be a work in progress.
Today I’m going to talk about investing in things for your business and your personal life. First, I touch on a common idea in the online business space and why I surprisingly disagree with it. Then, I share why I think sinking funds are an essential personal finance strategy.

This show is called The Motivational Movement, and that’s exactly what we’re talking about today, motivation. Because feeling really motivated and being really motivated yield different results over time.
It’s easy to have an all or nothing mindset. Sometimes we wonder if something is really worth it if we can’t go all in at once. So today, I want to talk about starting small.

The scenario is pretty standard, you're unhappy in your job but the pay is ok and the benefits are good. You want out now, and just received a job offer for less pay and the benefits aren’t worth as much. A situation so many of us have been in - I been at this crossroads myself too. But is there really something else we should be considering?
In this episode I was joined by Holly Knoll, a Business Coach, host of The Everyday Entrepreneur Podcast, and the creator of the digital course, The Consultant Code. Holly has built a multi-six figure consulting business and now helps others do the same. Through The Consultant Code, podcast, and blog, Holly ensures that her clients' business ideas and niche talents no longer take a back seat to comfy paychecks and unbelieving family members or friends. From concept to launch and scale, Holly works with her clients to develop and sustain successful businesses by eliminating self-doubt and fear along the way.
When Holly is not helping her clients start services-based businesses, she serves on the LinkedIn Small Business Advisory Board, leads workshops on helping people find dream clients, and volunteers with Dress For Success, having led multiple education events on mindfulness.
When Holly closes her laptop, she's reading, sitting by a campfire, or on her iPad researching her next yoga retreat.

We discuss how to collapse timeframes, learn from those who you look up to and grow the courage to leave your 9-5.
In this episode I'm going to tell you what I did to start seeing results in my own life and business. If I could change one thing from my early 20’s it would be understanding the value and ROI of investing in myself. Not just on products or subscriptions but the value of learning and growing as an individual and the impact that has on the progress you can make. And when I say investing in yourself, I’m talking about both time and money.
Today I'm bringing you a super quick and simple change you can make to guarantee you’ll actually start taking action on your to-do list and your dreams.
You have a business idea, you start to map out the steps, the equipment you need, the costs, what your daily schedule for work and family would look like, then you start the initial prep work but when it comes to putting it out into the world for people to see or once you get to the step you’ve never done before you can’t move forward...now what?
