Beyond the Fairytale: How True Love is Built, Not Found. 💕
When it comes to love, we often hear about finding "the one" or searching for our soulmate. However, the truth is that true love is not something that can simply be found - it is something that must be built and nurtured over time.
Building true love requires effort, dedication, and a willingness to work through challenges together. It means being committed to the other person, even when things get tough. It means showing up for each other, through the good times and the bad.
But what makes love truly special is that, even when it requires effort and hard work, it also brings immeasurable joy and happiness. When we build love with someone, we create a foundation of trust, respect, and understanding that can withstand any obstacle.
So, if you're in a relationship, remember that true love is not just something that happens overnight. It's a journey that you embark on with your partner, one that requires patience, communication, and a willingness to grow and evolve together.
And if you're still searching for love, don't lose hope. Remember that building true love is a process, one that takes time and effort. Be open to new experiences, be patient, and most importantly, be kind to yourself and to others.
In the end, true love is not something that can be found - it is something that we build, day by day, moment by moment, with the people we choose to share our lives with. So let's build love, and let's build it well.

Creating a Bright Future: Focusing on the Present and Letting Go of Regrets.
Regrets. We all have them, don't we? Those moments where we wish we could turn back time and do things differently. We replay those moments in our minds, wondering what would have happened if we had made a different choice. But the truth is, regrets are just wasted thoughts. They do nothing but hold us back from living our best lives.
So instead of dwelling on the past, we must focus on the present. The present is where we have the most control and where we can make a real difference in our lives. It's where we can take action, make decisions, and create a better future for ourselves.
Living in the present means embracing every moment and making the most of it. It means being fully engaged in the things we do and the people we are with. When we focus on the present, we can appreciate the simple things in life that we often take for granted. The beauty of a sunrise, the sound of laughter, or the warmth of the sun on our skin.
But focusing on the present doesn't mean we ignore our past entirely. Instead, we can use our past experiences to shape our present and future. We can learn from our mistakes, grow from our challenges, and become stronger, wiser, and more resilient.
Living in the present also means letting go of the things we cannot change. We cannot change our past, but we can choose how we react to it. We can choose to forgive ourselves and others, let go of the pain, and focus on the present.
So, let's not waste our precious time and energy on regrets. Instead, let's focus on the present and make the most of every moment. Let's be grateful for the blessings in our lives, learn from our mistakes, and create a bright future for ourselves.
Remember, the present is a gift, and it's up to us to make the most of it. Don't let regrets hold you back from living your best life. Embrace the present, cherish the moment, and create a life that you will be proud of.

Conquering Kilimanjaro: The Resilient Journey of Nancy WachiraIn October 2022, my friend and mentee Nancy Wachira, a Cloud Practitioner at Amazon Web Services, took on the challenge of a lifetime – summiting Kilimanjaro. It was a grueling and arduous journey that required an immense amount of resilience, but Nancy was determined to push herself to the limit and prove to herself that she had what it takes to overcome any obstacle. As she ascended the mountain, the challenges started to pile up. Nancy lost eight toenails, suffered from shortness of breath, and vomited more than 30 times due to altitude sickness. It would have been easy to give up, to turn back and abandon her dream. But Nancy refused to let the mountain defeat her. She dug deep and found the resilience to keep going. With every step, she pushed herself harder, drawing on the strength within to keep moving forward. Even when it seemed like the mountain was unbeatable, she refused to give up. And in the end, she emerged victorious, standing at the summit of Kilimanjaro, triumphant and proud.Nancy's journey is an inspiration to us all. It reminds us that no matter how tough the challenge may be, we have the strength within to overcome it. Resilience is not just about being tough or strong, but about having the courage to face our fears, to overcome our doubts, and to push ourselves beyond our limits. We all face challenges in life, big and small. But it is our resilience that determines whether we emerge victorious or defeated. When we are faced with adversity, we must draw on the strength within us and find the courage to keep going. Whether it's climbing a mountain, achieving a dream, or simply getting through a tough day, we can all find the resilience to overcome any obstacle. So if you're going through a tough time right now, remember Nancy's story. Remember that you have the resilience within you to overcome any challenge, no matter how daunting it may seem. Believe in yourself, and trust that you have what it takes to achieve your dreams. With resilience, anything is possible, and the sky is the limit.By the way, Nancy is a Member of The Mental Catalyst club.

From Recluse to Inspiration: My Journey as an Introvert.Have you ever felt like you're just not cut out for the social scene? Do you find solace in your own company and tend to retreat into your own thoughts and world? If you answered yes, then you might be an introvert like me.Being an introvert is not a bad thing. In fact, it can be a great strength. Introverts are often deep thinkers, great listeners, and excellent observers. However, as much as we may enjoy our own company, we must remember that we are all interconnected beings, and our stories and experiences can inspire and help others who are going through similar struggles. It's easy to stay within our comfort zones and avoid social situations. But the truth is, if we want to make a positive impact on the world, we need to step out of our comfort zones and share our experiences with others. We may feel vulnerable and exposed at first, but the rewards of sharing our journey with others can be immense. When I made the decision to purposefully avail myself to share my stories and lessons with others, I was surprised at the positive impact it had on my life. Not only did I make great friends, but I also learned a lot from the process of sharing myself with the world. It's important to remember that we all have insecurities, flaws, and struggles. But it's through embracing these imperfections and sharing them with others that we can truly connect and make a difference in the world. We must stop hiding our true selves and start being vulnerable, for that is when we truly discover our true selves, learn and grow. So, my dear friends, if you're an introvert like me, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and share your story with the world. You never know who you might inspire, help, or connect with. And remember, it's through sharing our imperfections that we can truly grow and make a positive impact on humanity.Let's start a movement of authenticity, vulnerability, and growth. Let's inspire each other with our unique perspectives and experiences. Together, we can make the world a better place, one story at a time.Live Smart

From Dreams to Goals: Achieving Your Aspirations through Targets and Preparation.
If you're wondering about the difference between dreams, goals, and targets, I can tell you a thing or two about it. As a person who loves hiking, let me share with you an example of my own dream and how I turned it into a goal.
My dream is to hike to the Mount Everest Base Camp. The idea of standing at the base of the world's tallest mountain and taking in the breathtaking views is what inspires me. However, I know that dreaming alone won't get me there. I needed to turn my dream into a goal and set targets to track my progress.
So, I set a goal to complete the hike within a specific timeframe, say, a year. To make sure I achieve this goal, I also set several targets that I need to reach along the way, such as specific elevations, stages of the hike, and so on. These targets provide me with the motivation and momentum to keep moving forward and help me measure my progress towards my ultimate goal.
That's the difference between dreams, goals, and targets. Dreams provide inspiration, while goals and targets provide specific objectives and milestones to measure progress and stay on track.
The same principle applies to other areas of life as well. Whether it's a career goal, a fitness goal, or any other personal goal, turning dreams into actionable goals with specific targets can help you achieve success.
To prepare myself physically for a challenging hike like the Mount Everest Base Camp, I have set myself a goal to complete a set of daily exercises. I am walking 10,000 steps a day to improve my cardiovascular health and build up my endurance for the hike. Swimming for 2 hours a day is also part of my preparation routine. This will help me improve my overall fitness and strength, as well as give me an opportunity to practice my breathing technique, which will be beneficial for high altitude hikes. Additionally, I am cycling 100 kilometers a week to build up my leg muscles and improve my stamina.
By setting these goals and targets, I am making sure that I am taking the necessary steps to achieve my dream. Achieving your dreams requires more than just wishful thinking. You need to turn your dreams into concrete goals with specific targets and take action towards achieving them. With hard work, dedication, and persistence, you can turn your dreams into reality and achieve great things in life. So, dream big, set bold goals, and take action towards achieving them!

Believing in Yourself: How I Summited Mount Kilimanjaro with Self-Belief and Action.
Have you ever experienced a moment when you felt like giving up on a dream or goal because it seemed impossible? I certainly have, but I learned that if you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
I remember when I decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. It seemed like an impossible task at first, but I knew that if I believed in myself and took action towards my goal, I could make it happen. So, I trained for ten months, both mentally and physically, and finally, the day arrived.
The climb was tough, and I faced many challenges along the way. But, I reminded myself of my belief in myself and the months of preparation that I had put in. I pushed through the tough moments, and finally, I summited Mount Kilimanjaro. It was an incredible feeling, and I knew that my belief in myself and my willingness to take action had helped me achieve my goal.
This experience taught me that self-belief and action yield successful results. Believing in yourself is the first step towards achieving your dreams, but it's not enough on its own. You must take action and put in the effort to make it happen. When you combine belief with action, anything is possible.
So, the next time you find yourself doubting your abilities or questioning your dreams, remember that if you believe in yourself and take action, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. It may take time, effort, and hard work, but with self-belief and action, success is within reach.

Embracing Your Passion: Living Life on Your Own Terms.
Embracing Your Passion: Living Life on Your Own Terms..I want to share something with you today that has been a driving force in my life: the idea that "You aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you are doing." This quote has been a powerful reminder to me that the path to achieving our dreams and goals may not always be understood or accepted by those around us, but that doesn't mean we're on the wrong track. When I decided to re-invent myself and live a purposeful and meaningful life, I knew that I needed to take my physical and mental health seriously. This led me to set ambitious goals for myself, including summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Blanc, and other mountains. I also set out to become an avid cyclist and reader.
These goals were important to me because they gave me a sense of purpose and a reason to wake up each day feeling excited and motivated. However, not everyone in my life understood or supported my goals. Some of my friends and loved ones questioned why I would take such risks or set such big goals. But I knew in my heart that these were the things that made me feel most alive, and that I needed to pursue them regardless of what anyone else thought. And you know what? That decision has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself.
Through the challenges and struggles of climbing mountains and pushing myself physically, I have discovered an inner strength and resilience that I never knew I had. And through my love of hiking, reading and cycling, I have found joy and fulfillment in the simple things in life.So if you're feeling like nobody else understands or supports your goals and dreams, I want you to know that you're not alone. It's okay to pursue something that may not make sense to others, as long as it makes sense to you. You are the only one who knows what truly sets your soul on fire, and it's up to you to follow that path with courage and conviction.Remember that every great achievement in history was once deemed impossible or crazy by someone else. But the people who made those achievements didn't let the naysayers hold them back.
They kept pushing forward, fueled by their own vision and determination. So keep pushing forward, my friend. Keep climbing those mountains, cycling those roads, and reading those books. Keep pursuing the things that make you feel alive, even if nobody else understands why. Because in the end, it's your life and your journey, and you get to decide how to live it.Life is short, and it's important that we don't waste it living someone else's life or conforming to society's expectations if it doesn't serve us.
If you have a passion or calling that you've been hesitant to pursue, I encourage you to take that first step today. It may not be easy, and there may be bumps along the way, but the reward of living a life that's true to yourself is immeasurable. Don't be afraid to take risks, set big goals, and be different. Embrace your uniqueness and let it guide you towards a life of purpose and fulfillment. Remember, you aren't doing it wrong if no one knows what you're doing.

Don't Go to Bed Angry: The Importance of Expressing Your Feelings.
As I reflect on my past experiences, I've realized the importance of communication and the impact it has on the people we care about. There were times when I chose to stay quiet instead of talking things over with a loved one. I thought I was being respectful and didnt want to say anything that I might regret, but in reality, my silence left them feeling unloved and unwanted.I remember how my posture of silence made them feel funny, and it's something that I regret. Even though I had my reasons for not talking things over at that time, I now understand that it's always best to communicate openly and not let the sun settle on unresolved issues.I've learned that communication is key to any relationship. It's not always easy to express our thoughts and feelings, but it's essential to make the effort. When we choose to stay silent, we risk creating misunderstandings and leaving our loved ones feeling disconnected. It's important to recognize that silence can sometimes do more harm than good. When we fail to communicate, we risk creating misunderstandings and leaving our loved ones feeling unloved and unwanted. I've realized that it's important to talk things over and not let any unresolved issues linger. So, I urge you to remember the quote "Don't ever send someone to bed feeling unloved or unwanted." Communication and appreciation are essential in any relationship. Don't be afraid to express your thoughts and feelings, and don't assume that your loved ones know how much you care about them. Take the time to talk things over, express your appreciation, and show your loved ones that they matter.Let us all strive to communicate openly and not let the sun set on any unresolved issues or unexpressed feelings. Our relationships will be stronger and more fulfilling for it. Remember, never send someone to bed feeling unloved or unwanted.

Shedding the Past: How Lizards Teach Us the Importance of Self-Reinvention.
Nature has many wonders that are both beautiful and inspiring. One of these wonders is the remarkable ability of lizards to grow a new tail. This natural phenomenon has many lessons that we can learn from and apply to our own lives, especially when it comes to the importance of reinventing ourselves.
Lesson #1: Adaptability
Lizards are incredibly adaptable creatures. They can live in a wide range of habitats, from deserts to rainforests, and they can also adjust to changing conditions. When a lizard loses its tail, it has to adapt to a new way of moving and balancing. It may take time to adjust, but eventually, the lizard learns to use its new tail to its advantage.
In our lives, we too need to be adaptable. We live in a constantly changing world, and we must be willing to change and evolve with it. Whether it's adapting to a new job, a new relationship, or a new lifestyle, we must be open to new experiences and willing to adapt to new circumstances. By embracing adaptability, we can reinvent ourselves and find new opportunities for growth and success.
Lesson #2: Resilience
The ability of lizards to regenerate their tails is a testament to their resilience. They can bounce back from an injury that would be devastating for other creatures. The process of regenerating a new tail can take time, but the lizard persists and keeps growing until it is fully healed.
In our lives, we also need to cultivate resilience. We may experience setbacks, failures, or losses, but we must not give up. We must keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the journey may be. By building resilience, we can reinvent ourselves and transform our challenges into opportunities for growth.
Lesson #3: Self-Care
Lizards have a natural instinct to shed their tails when they sense danger. This self-care mechanism allows them to protect themselves and survive in the wild. After shedding its tail, the lizard focuses on healing and regenerating a new one.
Self-care is crucial for our well-being. We need to prioritize our physical, emotional, and mental health, especially during challenging times. We must recognize when we need to take a break, seek support, or practice self-care activities like exercise, meditation, or hobbies. By taking care of ourselves, we can become more resilient and adaptable to the changes in our lives, and better equipped to reinvent ourselves when necessary.
In conclusion, the ability of lizards to grow a new tail is an incredible natural phenomenon that teaches us valuable life lessons. By embracing adaptability, resilience, and self-care, we can reinvent ourselves and find new opportunities for growth, even in the face of adversity. So let us take inspiration from the lizards and embrace the art of reinventing ourselves!

From Regret to Redemption: The Art of Reinventing Yourself.
As I sit here reflecting on my journey of self-discovery and reinvention, I cannot help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment and inner peace. It is not because I have reached a state of perfection or that everything in my life has fallen into place. Rather, it is because I have made a conscious decision to live a purposeful and meaningful life.
Reinventing oneself is not an easy task. It requires a great deal of introspection, self-reflection, and the willingness to make changes. It means taking a long, hard look at oneself and evaluating how we interact with the world around us. This process can be uncomfortable, even painful at times, but it is essential if we want to grow and become better versions of ourselves.
In my own journey of reinvention, I have come to realize that I have not always handled situations in the best possible way. Looking back, I feel a sense of sadness for the times I could have been more vulnerable and loving, but instead chose to close myself off. However, I have learned that dwelling on past mistakes does not serve me well. Rather, it is important to take responsibility for my actions and strive to be a better person moving forward.
One of the most significant shifts in my mindset has been to take responsibility for the things that go wrong in my life and interactions with others. Instead of blaming others or making excuses, I have learned to own up to my mistakes and take the necessary steps to make amends. This has not only improved my relationships with others but has also given me a sense of control over my life.
Reinventing oneself is not a one-time event but a continuous process. It requires us to be open to new experiences, willing to learn, and committed to growth. It is a journey that can be both challenging and rewarding, but the end result is a life that is more purposeful, meaningful, and fulfilling.
I encourage anyone reading this to take the time to reflect on their own life and consider how they can reinvent themselves to live a more meaningful life. It may not be easy, but it is worth it. Embrace the journey, learn from your mistakes, and keep moving forward. You will be amazed at the beauty of the future that awaits you.

The Power of Focus: How to Accomplish More in Three Hours Than Thirty Days.
The quote "If you give yourself 30 days to clean your home, it will take 30 days, but if you give yourself 3 hours, it will take 3 hours" holds an important lesson that applies not only to cleaning your home but also to achieving your goals, ambitions, and plans.
The key takeaway from this quote is that time is not the only factor that determines how long it takes to complete a task. Your mindset, approach, and level of focus also play significant roles. If you approach a task with a clear plan, focused mindset, and determination to complete it, you can achieve more in a shorter amount of time than if you approach it with a scattered mindset and no clear plan.
So, how can you apply this lesson to your goals, ambitions, and plans? The first step is to set a clear goal and create a plan of action. Break down your goal into smaller, manageable tasks and set deadlines for each one. This will help you stay on track and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Next, create a conducive environment that promotes focus and productivity. Eliminate distractions, turn off your phone, and create a comfortable workspace that encourages you to stay focused and motivated.
Finally, adopt a positive mindset and believe in your ability to achieve your goal. Visualize yourself accomplishing your goal and take action with confidence and determination.
Remember, it's not just about the time you give yourself, but the quality of that time. Giving yourself a short deadline can help you stay focused and motivated, but it's up to you to use that time effectively. By adopting the right mindset and approach, you can accomplish more in a shorter amount of time and achieve your goals, ambitions, and plans with ease.

I've discovered a powerful tool for starting my day on the right foot: gospel and Christian music during my morning walks or jogs. One of my favorite songs is "You're Gonna Be OK" by Brian & Jenn Johnson, and I highly recommend it to anyone in a dark place or feeling trapped in life. The positive energy and uplifting messages in these songs have done wonders for my spirit and mood, filling me with hope and encouragement. With each step, I feel myself becoming more confident, more assured, and more ready to take on whatever the day may bring.
As I work on reinventing myself and prioritizing my mental health, I'm constantly seeking out behaviors that will help me stay calm, centered, and stress-free. Along with listening to music, I also encourage others to actively work out in the morning, meditate, and make the most of the day. When we start our day with intention and positive habits, we set ourselves up for success and a more fulfilling life.
Whether you're a believer or not, the power of music to soothe, inspire, and uplift is undeniable. So if you're looking for a way to live a more peaceful and confident life, I encourage you to explore the power of music. Find the songs that speak to your heart, like "You're Gonna Be OK," and let them fill you with hope, courage, and joy. Trust me, your soul will thank you.

The mayfly, a tiny insect with a lifespan of just one day, may seem insignificant to us humans who are blessed with much longer lives. But have you ever stopped to think about how much joy and contentment this little creature can pack into a single day?
The mayfly doesn't waste a moment feeling sorry for itself or bemoaning its short life. Instead, it lives each day to the fullest, filling its time with the things it loves – soaring, swooping, and savouring every moment.
Perhaps there's a lesson here for us longer living creatures. What if we approached life with the same sense of urgency and purpose as a mayfly? What if we embraced each moment, lived in the present, and made the most of every opportunity that came our way?
Don't wait for tomorrow to chase your dreams or pursue your passions. Life is short, and there's no time to waste. Take a leaf out of the mayfly's book and seize the day.
And speaking of seizing the day, I'm about to embark on an incredible adventure – an Everest Base Camp Trek. If you're reading this, why not join me? It's not too late to pack your bags and join the journey. Or, if you can't make it, follow my updates on social media and be inspired to live your own life to the fullest. As we go through life, we encounter countless people who come and go. Some stay for a short while and leave, while others linger longer but eventually fade away. And then there are those rare individuals who stick around through thick and thin, weathering the ups and downs of life by our side. These are our friends, and they hold a special place in our hearts that is unlike any other.
While love may be temporary, friendship is forever. Romantic relationships can come and go, but true friendship endures. It is a bond that withstands the test of time, distance, and even conflict. True friends are there for us when we need a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, or a helping hand. They lift us up when we are down and celebrate with us when we succeed.
Friendship is a precious gift that should be cherished and nurtured. It requires effort and commitment to maintain, but the rewards are immeasurable. A true friend is someone who accepts us for who we are, flaws and all, and loves us anyway. They don't judge us, but rather support and encourage us to be the best version of ourselves.
As we go through life, we may lose touch with some friends or drift apart due to circumstances beyond our control. But the true bonds of friendship are never truly broken. Even if we don't speak for years, we can pick up right where we left off as if no time has passed at all. That is the beauty of friendship.
So let us cherish the friends we have, and strive to be the kind of friend we would want for ourselves. Let us cultivate the forever bond of friendship, and revel in the joy and comfort it brings. Because in a world that is ever-changing and uncertain, true friendship is a constant source of love and support that we can always count on.
Love Always,
Michael

The journey of life is full of twists and turns, highs and lows, and moments of incredible growth. It's human nature to crave change and progress, to strive for something new and exciting. But often, we find ourselves stuck in the same patterns, doing the same things over and over again, and wondering why our lives aren't moving forward.
If you want something new in your life, you have to be willing to let go of the old. This may sound daunting, even scary, but it's the only way to make room for growth and transformation. Change can be uncomfortable, but it's also essential if we want to reach our full potential.
Maybe you've been stuck in a dead-end job for years, dreaming of a new career path but too afraid to take the leap. Or perhaps you're in a toxic relationship, but you're too scared to leave because you don't know what's on the other side. Whatever it is that's holding you back, it's time to let it go.
Embrace the unknown and trust that the universe has something incredible in store for you. When you let go of the old, you create space for something new and beautiful to emerge. You may face challenges along the way, but remember that every obstacle is an opportunity for growth.
So, take a deep breath, and let go of the old. Trust yourself and your journey, and have faith that the universe has something amazing in store for you. Remember that the only way to create a better tomorrow is by taking action today. If you want something new, you have to stop doing the something old.

The most important thing in life is not the wealth we accumulate or the accolades we receive. It's not the number of friends we have on social media or the number of followers we accumulate. The most important thing in life is love. Love is the foundation upon which everything else is built. It's the energy that connects us all and binds us together.
Love is not just an emotion we feel, it's an action we take. It's the willingness to give of ourselves and to receive from others. Learning how to give out love is an essential part of living a fulfilling life. It means showing kindness and compassion to those around us, even when they may not deserve it. It means being there for our loved ones when they need us, and supporting them through their struggles. But just as important as giving out love is letting it come in.
Too often, we build walls around our hearts, afraid to let others in. We hold back our love, fearful of being hurt or rejected. But when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable and open to love, we create space for magic to happen. When we give and receive love freely, we experience a deep sense of connection and fulfillment. Love brings joy, happiness, and meaning to our lives.
It's what makes life worth living. So, if you want to live a fulfilling life, focus on love. Learn how to give it freely, and be open to receiving it in return. Let love be the guiding force in your life, and watch as it transforms everything around you. Remember, the most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and let it come in.
Live Smart.
Love Always Michael
