Walter Costa (1987) combines photography with his interest in social issues and seeks new ways of using photography as an instrument for public debate.
In his research project, ‘Autokylos Collection, ’ Walter uses photography to reveal the illegal supply chain of historical artefacts sold through private groups on Facebook.
In line with the growing awareness of cultural heritage and appropriation, the looting and offering for sale of these artefacts is an increasingly common and listed crime.

Collective ARK consists of designers and researchers Louis Braddock Clarke, Roosje Klap, Senka Milutinović and Zuzanna Zgierska, philosopher Federico Campagna, composer Teoniki Rożynek, and computer scientists Arran Lyon and Valentin Vogelmann. Senka and Valentin talk about ARK's hybrid method of exchanging knowledge and how they developed the multimedia installation LAWKI NOW - Life As We Now It, the festival's pièce de resistance.
The relationship between poetry and artificial intelligence is also discussed, and the role of the audience as a contributor to this audiovisual experience.

In episode 2 of The Mediated Mind, Andrea Stultiens speaks with curators Tiiu Meiner (Estonia) and Rawad Baaklini (Lebanon). They created the exhibition ‘Splintered Thoughts and Fragile Plots’ in Noorderlicht Studio, the third edition of the mentor program Young Curators. Tiiu and Rawad talk about their collaboration, their fascination for truth and their search for how poetry relates to it. At the end of the conversation, they announce a publication on this theme, which will appear at the end of the festival, including via the Noorderlicht website.
