Our national team took over our Malaysian league break with two games against Laos, 8 goals scored, 1 goal conceded, 12 points (so far) in our conquest to the Asia's Cup. The Malaysian boys won exceptionally well in Vientiane, came back and staged a assured comeback in front of the loyal fans in Bukit Jalil. All credit to Peter Cklamovski for the set-up, our two wingers performing exceptionally well in both legs and a certain Romel Morales regaining the mojo back after more than a year of goal draught for the national team. In the end, how does the players' respond to on the pitch after the unavailability of the 7 players? So far so good. A heartbreaking end to Johor Darul Ta'zim's ACL Elite campaign as they fell to a 0-1 defeat at home against Buriram United in the 2nd leg. There was late drama though as Jorge Obregon appeared to have bagged an equalizer with quite literally the last kick of the game, but it was deemed to be marginally offside by VAR. Some fans agree, some disagree with the call. But ultimately, it's Buriram that will be Southeast Asia's sole representative in the quarter-finals of the ACL Elite this season.
