The Maine Monitor Radio Hour 5/2/24: Debut!
Producer/host: Amy Browne This month’s team of reporters and editors from The Maine Monitor:  Kate Cough, Rose Lundy and Stephanie McFeeters — and a cameo by Emily Bader (from a March interview that aired on Around Town)   They talk about some of the stories they’ve been working on, including issues at assisted living facilities in Maine, yellow flag laws, lack of attorneys for families whose children have been taken into DHHS custody, climate change and some of the issues facing the coast after the recent storms, pharmacy closures across the state.     (See links below)   This new program will air on the 1st Thursday of every month.   In June we’ll be talking about election season in Maine.  If you have questions or comments about primaries or elections related issues in the state, please email them to news@weru.org by 5/30 if you would like them to be possibly addressed on the June program.  Let us know your first name and where you’re from.   FMI: themainemonitor.org/ themainemonitor.org/how-we-investigated-maine–assisted-living-facilities/ themainemonitor.org/antipsychotics-usage-nursing-homes/ themainemonitor.org/lack-of-attorneys-child-removals/ themainemonitor.org/washington-county-behind-in-removing-weapons/ themainemonitor.org/seawall-road-washed-out/ themainemonitor.org/the-unstoppable-ocean/ themainemonitor.org/machias-dike-debate/ themainemonitor.org/portland-rising-sea-adapting/ themainemonitor.org/maine-pharmacy-closure-trend/
