Join KD and Tom as they speak to former Hereford United winger Marc Pugh. Marc comes across as an incredibly nice and down to earth guy even when you consider that he made it all the way to the Premier League with Bournemouth.
KD and Tom start at the very beginning with Marc talking about his youth days signing for Burnley, the club that he supports and getting incredibly close to making his professional debut. Sadly for us Hereford fans, Marc went on loan to Kidderminster but it is a time that he remembers fondly and he learnt a lot in the conference. He then discusses just how he felt on being released by Steve Cottrell at Burnley. Marc had great self belief to continue on, eventually ending up at Shrewsbury which we won’t hold against him. Although it does feel like he was trying to taunt us Hereford fans!
Then of course he went on loan to Hereford towards the end of the League One season. Then signing permanently for us at the start of our League Two season. Marc talks about how influential that period with Hereford was for him how he still has friends within that squad, his travel arrangements whilst at Hereford and the indescribable Tony Ford and his fantastic strength workout techniques. Marc was very impressed with how in shape Tony Ford was from a man of his age and regaled the boys with some fantastic stories about their time together.
Marc of course caught the eye of Bournemouth scoring against some three times in that League Two season so no wonder Eddie Howe wanted to sign him. We talk through the tribunal which Marc attended alongside the Bournemouth chairman and just how much he ended up going for.
We talk through the start of what turned out to be a nine year journey with Bournemouth from League One all the way up to the Premier League making his debut in his first ever Premier League season and scoring a couple of goals in that season.
KD and Tom quiz Marc on his favourite teammates, the toughest opponents that he faced and of course talking about what he does now. Marc is an advocate for eating well and in fact discussed throughout the podcast how much of a difference the right nutrition can make. The ‘Foodie Footballer’ as he is known on social media now goes into clubs and speaks to players and young players about what to eat and how to cook it.
Tom and KD would like to thank Marc for his time, for his fantastic stories and for telling us what Jason Tindall is really like.
You can follow Marc at the link below on social media to see what he’s up to now and to get some nutrition tips, he really is a top class guy.

Join KD and Tom as they chat to former Hereford United left back, Alex Jeannin!
Alex talks about how he started out in football, his debut for his hometown club of Troyes and early days in the French Cup playing the likes of Monaco.
Tom and KD move on to Alex’s time in England where he spent the majority of this career beginning at Darlington following a trial with Rotherham. The glamour of football hey!
Alex eventually moves to Exeter City, a time he says he enjoyed immensely. Whilst at Exeter City, Alex is part of the team that took Manchester United to a replay.
Alex talks about this experience and what it was like to play in front of almost 70,000 people in such an iconic setting. The conversation then moves on to Alex moving to the right club, Hereford United!!
Alex talks us through that first season which culminated in Hereford reaching the playoff final and being promoted. Alex talks about scoring against his former club, Exeter, and how vital that win was in ensuring Hereford made the playoffs and got promoted. Then the playoff final itself, the feeling when we won and of course the celebrations!!
Other good nights out were had following games, with Saxtys and a few stories getting a good mention all these years on!
Alex spoke about a lack of game time and that he needed to leave Hereford despite wanting to stay on due to his love for the club, the fans and the city. After a couple of clubs,
Alex eventually retired and we talk about what he has done since. Still in football, Alex is now a scout for Red Star Belgrade for France, Belgium and Holland having previously had roles at PSG and Olympique Lyonnais.
Alex often comes back to Hereford and we hope to see him at a game in the near future! We also mentioned that if he knows a striker looking for a club to send him Hereford’s way!
Thanks to Alex for his time and fantastic stories! Such a nice guy!

A man with almost 200 appearances for the Bulls, the first black player to play for Leicester City, and a true inspiration on and off the pitch, we were honoured to be joined by ex-Hereford United player, Winston White!
Winston takes us right back to where it all began – stealing his brother’s football boots just so he could put something on his feet to play football. It's a story underpinned by incredible mentality and resilience, spanning a fantastic career with Leicester City, Hereford United, Bury, Burnley, and even a spell in Hong Kong.
We ask Winston about the famous 1979 Len Cantello Testimonial, a match that fielded a team of black players against white players. Winston shares what that groundbreaking match at The Hawthorns meant to him personally and what it represented for the future of black footballers in the UK.
Of course, we couldn't let him go without reminiscing about his four incredible years at Hereford United, covering the 1981 Welsh Cup Final, the FA Cup 4th Round tie against his old club Leicester in 1982, and his pride at returning to West Bromwich Albion.
Finally, Winston tells us about his work today with the Professional Soccer Scouts Association (PSSA) and wishes the Bulls all the best for the season. This is one you don't want to miss! Enjoy!

We asked Hereford FC club chairman, Stig, some of your burning questions and listened to his insights on how the club can compete on and off the pitch in the future.
Your hosts, Tom Gough and KD Rai, had the pleasure of interviewing Stig in the off-season ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Stig looked back at his last two seasons at the club including the progress of Hereford FC Women and the U18’s team, before addressing topics like the timing of the release of Season Tickets, the Blackfriars End and going cashless at Edgar Street.
Stig gave us his opinions on the 3UP Campaign, which many fans are in favour of, giving 3 promotion and 3 relegation spots to teams in the National League. Also a hot topic - Stig gave us some insight into what it would take for the club to go hybrid in the future and how we compete with other clubs in the National League North division.
10 more years for Paul Caddis was put to him, but we didn’t get a concrete answer. Maybe 9-years will suffice for now?

Reg Reynolds of Hereford Away Days fame joins KD and Tom to review the season.
They talk first about how Reg became a fan, his memories growing up watching the bulls and some of his favourite games over the years. The boys also speak about how Away Days came to be as well as some of the challenges that he faces in organising the trips. Toby Carvery deservedly gets a mention!
Then the review. At time of recording, it was only a matter of days after Hereford were denied a place in the playoffs by Scunthorpe. They all talk about individual games, the players and of course the gaffer Paul Caddis.
The talk of going hybrid or full time is never far away and how it might work and whether it actually would. Are Hereford ready to go up? Maybe next season?
We all live in hope!! Come on you whites!!

Guy talks about his upbringing, his dad who played such an important role at Hereford United and in Guy becoming a Hereford fan.
They look at the season, which now culminates in the final four massive games. As well as looking at those, Tom and Guy also assess Hereford’s recent form and Paul Caddis’ 100 games as manager.

Part 2 of our interview with Hereford United and FC legend, Rob Purdie.
In this second and final part we talk about Rob leaving for Shrewsbury and coming back to lose to Hereford in the cup alongside Graham Turner. Then the painful last season of Hereford United, starting with Martin Foyle and ending with Peter Beadle and staying up at Aldershot.
We talk about the difficult demise of our club and of course, the end. Rob talks through his time at United in the community under Agombar and Lonsdale.
We then move on to the rising of the Phoenix, Hereford FC, that fantastic first season with the players, the team and the manager.
Before we talk Wembley! Fake tan, nervous energy and a goal after 85 seconds. Rob talks about his disappointment at not winning that game before moving on to his final seasons, the fire service and just how much Hereford itself but the club (HUFC/HFC) meant to him. It gets a bit emotional!
Thanks to Rob for his time and amazing stories and insight. Thanks also to Jamie Griffiths at Hereford FC for allowing us to use the space and being so accommodating. What a club we have!

The views stated in this podcast do not represent those of Hereford FC. They are just the views of people with far too much time on their hands, clearly.
In Part One of our interview, we talk about Rob’s early life including his time in the Leicester City Academy and being let go at the age of 19. The struggles of finding a club, having offers on the table and eventually signing for Hereford.
Rob talks about meeting Graham Turner for the first time and the impact that he had on his career. We talk through his first few seasons where Hereford finished sixth before coming second three years in a row. He talks about some of the players that he played with and matches that he played in.
We then talk to Rob about the Football League and Rob moving on for the first time to Darlington and then onto Oldham, before then returning to Hereford. Rob talks about his good friend, Jamie Pitman who of course took over on an interim basis before becoming manager permanently.
Rob talks through the turmoil and unease at the club with Gary Peters, Richard Sneekes and Russell Hoult coming in over the course of that time. We of course then talk about relegation and how that feels and maybe where some more points could’ve been picked up throughout the season.
Rob’s honest and open nature makes for a fantastic conversation and insight into life as a footballer.
Make sure you listen to Part 2 which covers the rest of his Hereford United days, signing for Hereford FC and of course retirement.
