I have some meet-cute layered romance books for you. Pick them up between heavy and sad reads. They will cheer you up!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston
The Flat Share by Beth O'Leary
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood (You can get Adam's perspective chapter if you sign up on Hazelwood's website)
This was long due! After such a long time, I found a book I really love. I think it was always in front of me I just needed to pay attention.
I would have loved to see the portrait Finn paints of June and her sister.
Also playing in the woods, pretending to be a 19th-century character- love it!
Hey! I am finally talking about the paper I wrote for Post Colonial Theory, not all of it.
In this episode, I talk about
Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi

Heya! Long time no see! I am back from whatever that held me back from talking about books again.
I am done with my Masters in English and have started working.
Since this is Pride Month, I wanted to start by talking about a though provoking essay by Judith Butler- “Performative Acts and Gender Constitution: An Essay in Phenomenology and Feminist Theory” It's a little complex but if you understand even half of what I talk about, do try to read up more about it.
Next up: African Literature.
Hey nerds! I read We Are Okay by Nina LaCour and here's the review without any spoilers!
The books I mentioned:
The Miracles of the Namiya General Store by Keigo Higashino
The Phone Box at the Edge of the World by Laura Imai Messina, Lucy Rand
The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yōko Ogawa
Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi- An extraordinary debut novel, Freshwater explores the surreal experience of having a fractured self. It centres around a young Nigerian woman, Ada, who develops separate selves within her as a result of being born “with one foot on the other side.” Unsettling, heartwrenching, dark, and powerful, Freshwater is a sharp evocation of a rare way of experiencing the world, one that illuminates how we all construct our identities.
“I held my breath, but it didn't feel like I was holding my breath, it felt like there should never have been breath. It felt like the entire concept of breath had been something I imagined. After all, my body was never meant to move like this. These lungs had to have been built for show. They should never have expanded and I should never have been alive.”
― Akwaeke Emezi, Freshwater
Let's talk about different types of fictional love stories, the tropes you love and the tropes you don't.

Hey nerds! In this episode, I discuss an essay by Stanely Fish that will give you food for thought.
Hey nerds! Well, the book has ruined me and my good behaviour. I respect the author and the work that went into writing in this book. And these are my personal views- completely subjective.
Hope you don't like this episode ;-)
Hey nerds! Today I am discussing a theory by Pierre Bourdieu- something that I read in my MA. It might be a little confusing because I spiralled but the basic message I want to share is you don't have to like a book because everyone does or because it won an award. Like what you want to like.
