WE DID IT - We went to see "Doctor Sleep", the sequel to "The Shining". In this mini, easy going episode we give our (positive) thoughts on the new film without ANY spoilers! We also take some time to delve into the world of conspiracy theories.
"The Shining" has long been associated with a plethora of conspiracy theories, including a the idea that the film is a representation of the native American genocide, the gold rush and even subliminal psychology - We take a look at our favourites from the documentary "Room 237" by Rodney Asch.
Ben has a new fondness for Advocaat, Michael talks of his relationship with Julie his next door neighbour and John is sad to be at the end of our episodes on the Shining. Enjoy the out of context Spaghetti Western jingle and our second ever Sideliner Notes Episode!
We are BACK at the Overlook hotel for the second half of our two part series on “The Shining”. Weird avant-garde dreams, crazy family murdering waiters, lovely musical chaos and "Midnight the Stars and You"!
Join us as we discuss our favourite ghost... Lloyd along with the music legend that is Krzysztof Penderecki and everything Jack Torrence!
It would be fair to say that after making these episodes we have a new found love for everything "THE SHINING" and we hope you enjoy our northern thoughts and theories on one of our favourite films!
