Rick McCord has been teaching for over 40 years. In 1991, he was recognized on Golf Magazine's original Top 100 Teachers in America list. Rick has remained on that list for 24 years. Golf Digest magazine recognizes him on their best teachers list.
In addition to the Rick McCord Golf Academy at Orange Lake, in Orlando, over the years, Rick has taught, conducted golf schools and lectured on his teaching philosophy around the world. McCord has served as the Director of Instruction at the famed Canterbury Golf Club in Cleveland, Ohio over the past 20 years.
Like myself and David Leadbetter, Rick has fully embraced the Fluid Motion Factor. It was Mccord who made the formal introduction of creator Steven Yellin to famed teaching professional David Leadbetter. Today Yellin works with many of Leadbetter's top amateur and tour players at the Leadbetter World Headquarters' ChampionsGate facility outside of Orlando.
While the podcast is, at times, uneven-listening wise, the information Rick McCord shares regarding the Fluid Motion Factor when working with his students is well worth the listen at just over 8 minutes.
It is important to point out the Fluid Motion Factor doesn't replace traditional teaching but promises to be a major enhancement to conventional instruction. To that end, the popularity of 'FMF' is growing in golf instruction circles by the day.
Listen, learn and ponder the reality of creating a balanced, fluid, repeatable golf swing motion. Suggestion? Do your swing and game a service and spend your off season reading THE FLUID MOTION FACTOR, Understanding the Source of Exceptional Golf by Steven Yellin.
