The Invisibles Project
The Fire Within That Ignites Our Impact

In this episode, my guest Ivana Cattaneo and I explore how to turn this personal purpose into tangible impact. But how do we find our purpose? And once we do, how do we align it with our work and create real impact?

The truth is, our purpose is hiding in plain sight. Our purpose is that deeply personal, emotional force that compels us to take action.

We dive deep into:

  • The power of purpose in shaping our impact

  • How advocacy and legitimate lobbying can work together for public good

  • The value of reframing and communication in catalysing change

  • Why patience and small steps are the keys to long-term success and self-preservation

The journey to making an impact is more than just about the destination, it’s about finding joy in the small steps we take, staying curious, and never losing sight of the big picture.

The Invisibles Project
A Doctor's Quest To Humanize Medicine

In this episode my guest Professor. Marie von Lilienfeld-Toal will discuss how making a meaningful impact isn’t just about working hard or chasing a fleeting trend. It's a deeply human journey.

She suggests our unique impact journey begins with three questions:

  • What do we love?

This is the intrinsic motivation. When we are passionate about something, we are more likely to invest the time and energy required to make a lasting difference.

  • What are our unique skills?

This is the "how." Skills are the tools we use to execute your vision. Understanding our strengths allows us to contribute where we can be most effective.

  • What matters the most?

This is the "why." This component connects our personal efforts to a larger purpose. It ensures our energy is directed toward a problem or cause that holds genuine significance for us and others.

The Invisibles Project
The Art of Finding Meaning in Life’s Mess

In this episode I’m super excited to feature my first guest on the podcast, Lauren Pretorius. Lauren and I will dive deeper into the invisible elements that shape our mindsets and how embracing a positive mindset when life gets tough can bring out the impact that is uniquely ours.

In my discussions with Lauren,

  • We will explore why making and owning our decisions is a skill that grows with practice

  • how true contentment comes from within, not from comparing ourselves to others

  • the importance of self-reflection to understand how we got to where we are now and,

  • why we need to find and feed our intrinsic motivation to drive our unique impact
