“Everything you need you already have.” - Hajj Flemings Let me drop from ‘free game’ on you. This is an open letter to my younger self.

The Origin is about the incredible Power of Routine… Highly successful people live very disciplined lives, they reduce the number of decisions they have to make by creating powerful habits. A habit is a routine that is performed daily.

Genius is not defined by GPA or IQ, but by what you Do. Life grades you on a curve and only recognizes execution. According to Seth Godin we operate in our Genius 5 - minutes a day. Remember, genius, don't wait for Permission. Like Nike we ‘Just Do It.’

Raising a Girl Boss comes down to a simple but tough decision. Lifestyle or Legacy. What is more important? We have decided she is more important than purchasing things. We travel internationally to expose her to other cultures. I am teaching her the entrepreneurial mindset so that she can run her own businesses.

Most people would agree that the internet is a basic human right and not a luxury, but let’s dig a little deeper. The digital divide is an uneven distribution and access to internet, technology, computers and mobile devices. But it doesn’t stop there, it even includes how to use digital tools, basic digital literacy and even online social capital. The divide is impacting employment, education and small businesses.

Either you have a seat at the table or you are on the menu. In a democratic society people want to feel like they are a part of the process. Let me take you behind the veil and let me show you how people with Power move.

The future is not linear as we move into a new normal the world will never be the same. So what does it mean to See Around Corners? We are living in unprecedented times. Do you feel powerless with the level of uncertainty you are experiencing in the world today? What can you do to swing the pendulum in the other direction? During the last recession companies like Uber, Slack and Whatsapp were created. The current environment is forcing us all to adapt and be agile. Conferences will never be the same. Sports are forever changed. Uncertainty is certain. Seeing around corners means you can’t be afraid to fail. It is time to shoot your shot.

I don’t care what industry you are in. I don’t care what you do. One thing is sure you have to ‘Secure the Bag.’ Life is about closing. Closing deals. Closing Projects. Everybody has ideas, but everybody strength isn’t closing. ‘Securing the Bag’ is a highly specialized skill. In life you don’t get what you are worth you get what you negotiate.
