Dan Moldea is an investigative journalist and author of 11 books. Bob Cowser Jr. is an author and English professor at St. Lawrence University. In 2001, Bob embarked on a writing project in which he embedded himself as a player on the Watertown Red and Black football team, the oldest gridiron semi pro team in the United States. In 2004, Bob published his first book about his experiences playing on the Red and Black, titled Dream Season: A Professor Joins America's Oldest Semi-Pro Football Team. Today, Bob sits down with Aron and looks back on that experience from 20 years ago, including what motivated him to want to play for the team to write this book, analyzing football from an academic standpoint, Bob's observation about semi pro ball and those who play it, and much more.
