Have you ever wondered why bad things keep happening to good people? Have you ever heard “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law” implying that we no longer live under any curses? Even though God’s given us the power to break them, they often times stay active through the generations; because we either don’t believe they are real or because we don’t believe we can be cursed by God. HELLOO!!! Let’s take a closer look at Colossians 3:1-3! I’ve always heard “think of the things of heaven” and “you’re dead and alive in Christ” but I’ve never known what it really means. Notice when Jesus says “depart from me I never knew you (Matthew 7:21-23)” and the “separation of the sheep and goats” (Matthew 25:31-46) HE CONSISTENTLY REFERS TO PEOPLE WHO CALL HIM LORD! That’s because just because you call Jesus "Lord" does NOT mean you are saved! Look at the verses, it always is accompanied by a VERB! There is action behind Jesus being lord! That is how everyone can & will openly declare that Jesus is Lord BUT not everyone will be saved. SIMPLY SAYING JESUS IS LORD DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY SAVED! SAYING JESUS IS LORD DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL BE SAVED ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT. “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phillipians 2:9-11 It says everyone will say Lord Lord! But not everyone will be saved, it’s clear because this verse includes things “under the earth”. Demons can't be saved. How is this possible? They’re saying “Jesus is lord” aren’t they? Doesn’t declaring Jesus is Lord mean that you are saved? NO. We’ll talk a little bit about what this meant for Old Testament friends/sheep of God; and what this means for us today with Jesus being our GREAT shepherd! Though they are distinct persons the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Jesus! Jesus is our great shepherd, and the Holy Spirit is the one who is with us at all times bringing glory to God! I pray you learn attributes about the Holy Spirit you may not have known before! I pray you have a new understanding of just how intimate our God wants your relationship with him to be! Also, I would highly highly suggest listening to the songs I mentioned at the end to help you understand the magnificent God we serve!

When I first started sharing my faith verbally with people at the age of 23, with the goal of leading them to Christ, I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO SAY! I was so lost! Yes I've heard preaching all my life! I've been developing a relationship with God, and reading the bible for YEARS; still I was speechless & afraid when it came to sharing my faith! I used to practice something I heard before called "friendship evangelism" which is basically when you never actually bodly tell people about your faith, you kind of just exist around them and hope they ask you one day. I used to think everyone's religion is partially true and I couldn't just say Jesus is the only way. Honestly I only believed that because I doubted God. So when I stopped doubting, and felt compelled to share my faith I had to read & study for around 2-3 weeks just to have an idea of what to say. Since then I've gotten a lot better!! I'm definitely not perfect but I have learned a few things! In this podcast, we'll talk about practical ways of how Jesus, Peter, Paul, and I share the gospel! Enjoy!
