Women Warriors: Breast Cancer Was Not Their Death Sentence (Part II)
Women Warriors: Breast Cancer Was Not Their Death Sentence (Part II)   October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We remember and honor all the women who fought and lost and we celebrate the millions who fought and conquered.   Two brave, courageous women with unwavering faith; Ramona Kies and Sima Hovannessian, each share their unique story of their journey battling breast cancer from its inception to treatment, victory and where they are with it today. We celebrate these brave women and aim to raise awareness about breast cancer and stress the importance about education, prevention, screening, early detection and treatments.   According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer became the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide.   Today’s episode is for every woman, mother, daughter and friend. Every woman needs to know the facts. And the fact is, when it comes to breast cancer, every woman is at risk.   Breast cancer screenings can save a woman’s life and mammograms along with consistent monthly breast self-exams are the best way to detect breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat. As we bring awareness to this issue, we’re urging women to make time for their health and to get screened regularly.   Ramona and Sima’s stories exemplify the warrior each woman has within. We are victors, not victims. Each and every single one of us has the same unconquerable spirit we see in these two amazing women. Let us always remember and celebrate that spirit.   #unconquerablespirit #breastcancer #breastcancerawarenessmonth #October #womenwarriors #women #unwaveringfaith #earlydetection #mammogramssavelives #education #prevention #theavantiwoman #theavantiwomanpodcast

Women and Entrepreneurship 3rd in a three-part series: Support and Accountability
In the last few episodes, coach Rayana explained what it means to be an entrepreneur, the science of entrepreneurship and 3 fundamental elements and characteristics every entrepreneur should nurture and develop to be successful.    We learned about the first two; Mindest (how everything starts with and is influenced by your mindset) and, Habits and Routine.   In this 3 rd and last episode of the series, coach Rayana, founder/CEO of Catalyst Coaching Solutions, talks about the unparalleled importance of Support and Accountability. Entrepreneurship can feel like a lonely business but we must remember, no one succeeds alone and we all need help. We need support to get us to the results we want faster and easier.   As an entrepreneur, we start off as being solopreneur slaves- we have to master every role. In order to move up, there comes a point where we have to trust other people to do the work for us. Coach Rayana believes we must get over limiting beliefs and surrender control to free up our time so we can work on our business and not in the business.   When we are accountable she says, we rise to the occasion and we shine the best version of ourselves. Accountability brings out the best in us. We rise to occasion when someone else is watching. Every time we stretch ourselves and do what we say we’re going to do, we boost our confidence. Accountability boosts confidence and breeds success.   Listen to coach Rayana explain the various types of accountability and support and the different techniques used to achieve them.   To learn more about how to thrive in business and life, watch Rayana’s free webinar: Permission to Thrive (link - https://catalystcoachingsolutionsllc.com/funnel/p2t/thrive/ )   To contact Rayana or schedule a free connection call visit:   Rayana T. The Avanti Woman
Women and Entrepreneurship 2nd Episode in a three-part Series: Habits and Routine
Habits and Routine are core elements every entrepreneur must master on their journey to success.   In this 2 nd in a three-part series episode, business coach, Rayana Starre, dives in deep and explains the anatomy of habits and how using triggers/cues lead to behavior and action. She believes in befriending your calendar and using it as a tool to be your boss; if you make this a routine she says, you’ll see that it is a very effective method in building a habit around. No wonder highly successful entrepreneurs rave about their specific daily habits and routines and credit them for their success.   Coach Rayana also believes in the Power of Small. Focus on one small change at a time until it becomes automatic. On this journey, make sure you track your progress and reward yourself.   She reminds us that ‘Habit’ formation is a journey and not a destination. It takes 66-67 days to form a habit. Don’t try to be perfect she says, just be consistent.   Finally, coach Rayana emphasizes that Knowing your “Why” is extremely important as it lays the groundwork for you to plan out on. A mentor and a coach are instrumental in this process to keep you on track and moving forward – this is why we see most highly accomplished and successful entrepreneurs having their personal coach or coaches. Women and Entrepreneurship 1st episode in a three-part Series – MINDSET
Everything starts with Mindset. Perception is projection. What you perceive and believe is what you will see in the world.   In this episode, Rayana Starre, founder/CEO of Catalyst Coaching Solutions, LLC explains why mindset is one of the most fundamental elements to work on and refine on our journey to success. Fears and limiting beliefs will unequivocally impact our reality. Make peace with that ladies! Befriend your fears and make them your allies!   Rayana advises all women to stick together and help each other out, inspire and support each other rather than compete. The Avanti Woman #012 - Women and Medicare: Understand Medicare with Hana Eicher and Ingrid Van Eckert
This week on The Avanti Woman Podcast, Nairy is joined by friends & experts, Hana and Ingrid, to talk about the importance of Medicare. We also cover all the information you need to know about selecting the right plan, the best insurance broker and where you can find resources to make the whole process easier. Women and Medicare (Why women should understand Medicare?) Medicare is a federal health insurance program that funds basic healthcare services for over 62.6 million individuals over 65 and with those who have certain disabilities. This number is increasing by 11,000 baby boomer beneficiaries per day until 2030!  Without Medicare these millions of individuals would have difficulty accessing or paying for hospital care, physician visits, diagnostic tests, preventative services and prescription drugs.   According to a very large longitudinal study and data from US Department of health and human services and the 2020 report from talentinnovation.org,  a global think tank, these consumers are overwhelmingly female.  The researchers demonstrated that regardless of their marital status and whether they have children, 94% of women make healthcare decisions for themselves and 59% make healthcare decisions for others.  Among those who work and have children under 18, 94% make decisions for others.  The authors have called these decision makers the Chief Medical Officers of the Family, CMO’s comprise the industry’s core consumer segment, as they set the health and wellness agenda for themselves and others, choose treatment regimens, and hire and fire doctors, pharmacists and insurance providers.  Although women are the CMO’s and decision makers within the home, the problem researchers observed was that 58% of CMO’s lacked confidence in their decision making.  Women also lack knowledge.  They’re bombarded with information but don’t know what to believe or trust.  78% do not fully trust their insurance provider. So what’s the solution?  We need to understand the CMO’s and gear our message to them.  Overall 80% of women are the healthcare decision makers within the home.  Women must understand the basics of Medicare, timelines for enrollment to avoid penalties and how to find the right resources in order to help their family members; mothers, fathers, uncles, grandmothers, aunts, and…. For themselves. The majority of individuals receiving Medicare are women.  They constitute more than half of the individuals with Medicare.  The program is therefore critically important to preserving the health and well-being of our mothers and grandmothers.   We believe the world needs more strong women who inspire and build each other up. By providing a platform that helps women learn, grow, and connect with other successful women, we empower them and help them build the life they want. By building up women to be successful and self-sufficient, we help build up society.
