In light of his latest release 'Butterflies & Whales' on Concrete Kin, we caught up with the man behind the music, JCKRSS (Jack Ross). In this 20 minute interview we explored the musical journey that inspired the recent EP, discussed the dance music scene in Spain & uncovered the various musical influences (from jazz, to classical, to Sinatra...) that have inspired the production endeavours of the artist. A London native who has played in the likes of Fabric, 93feet East, and Corsica Studios, whilst also playing alongside the likes of M.A.N.D.Y., Maya Jane Coles and Stefan Bodzin to name but a few. Following his escapades in London, he moved east to Singapore, where he commandeered the city's thriving underground music scene - hosting & playing at all worthy of note venues, including Singapores Ultra. Oliver launched his record label Eyes To The Front (ETTF) in 2016 as a means to push and promote local talent, as well as curate events with artists all around Asia. Oliver now resides & is continuing his musical journey in Toronto. This In Session mix features both tracks from Oliver, as well as other releases on the ETTF label.
