Ep 37 - Michael Bay - Ambulance
AMBULANCE opens in cinemas April 7 and we were lucky enough to have a chat with Michael Bay who most of you will know from behind the camera on films such as The Rock, Armageddon, The Island, 13 Hours in Benghazi, The Transformers franchise and many many more! Obviously we chatted about the film but we also dived into some of the history with his previous films with anecdote’s from working with Sean Connery, John Krasinski, Martin & Will on Bad Boys and the legendary Bruce Willis. You also get an insight into how he works on a set, how many shots he does in a day, working with his editor and how he’s able to charm the local police to becoming actors for a day. It was such a fantastic interview, it was supposed to happen earlier in the week but timing got the best of us and we had to reschedule which worked out better because he was super relaxed chilling at his house in LA and we got to chat for a solid 30minutes instead of what would have been 10minutes in a normal film junket environment. So enjoy the interview I sure had a great time doing it as you will hear.

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to chat to David Kross who plays Bert Trautmann in true story The Keeper – you may know him from films such as The Reader (2008) opposite Kate Winslet or Spielberg’s War Horse (2011). We all love a good true story and this one is definitely worth your time. Impressed by Bert’s prowess as a goal-keeper, the team manager gets him out of the camp to play for his team. The sound Brian “Head” Welch helped pioneer with KoRn in the early ‘90s provided identity to a generation of misfits and made him a global rock star. By the time he walked out on a $23M record deal in 2005, desperate to kick a devastating crystal meth habit, all he wanted was to become a good father. LOUD KRAZY LOVE follows the experiences of Brian and his daughter Jennea growing up together with chaotic courage and unconventional faith. Far beyond a rock documentary, this fearless coming-of-age story grapples with teenage depression, the quest for identity, and the hope of a father willing to do anything for the one he loves.
