Tech Oversimplified takes the most ubiquitous aspects of computers and the internet and explains how it all works. Why? Because knowledge of the technology we use everyday, and often take for granted, is power. For this episode, Host Kevin Brown explains what happens when we simply click on a button or page. We stare at our screens and type away in search of some specific information. And in return, we usually get something pretty close to what we were looking for. Kevin describes the processes that request and transmit little chunks of information (data locations, text, images and styling) that come together as a page on our web browser.

Engineers consistently exclude non-technical people from understanding enough about technology to better utilise it. This is wrong! Engineers should be equipping non-technical people with enough of an understanding to make the right business decisions, without trying to drag them all the way down into the detail.
