In todays episode I share my experience with antidepressants so far. I talk about why I decided to try them out, how they have affected me so far, and what are the major categories of antidepressants. Still not quite sure where this journey is taking me but I am going along for the ride. Enjoy!
I have spent a very long time fighting with my emotions. For many of us who struggle with our emotions or mental health our feelings have turned into something that we are in constant battle with. Every time an uncomfortable emotion comes up our first instinct is how can I get rid of this.
Emotions are NOT our enemy, however, they are there to tell us something about the world. As we begin to tune into our emotions we can then learn and understand more of what our body is trying to tell us and access our deeply unique and authentic selves.
Enjoy!

In todays episode I share my journey of leaving my hometown of 22 years to begin working on my PsyD. I share some of the challenges I faced (and continue to face) throughout this transition as well as some of the tools I have used to help.
This is not an episode where I claim to have all the answers. As a matter of fact, as I begin this new chapter of my life I have many more questions than I do answers. This is simply an episode where I share my human experience and what it is like for me navigating this transition as well as some choices I have made because of it.
If you are beginning a new period of your life I would give this a listen, you will see that you are NOT alone and that ultimately we are all just trying to figure it out. I hope you enjoy!

In this episode, I explore the concept of habit formation, contrasting the ease with which negative habits develop against the challenges of establishing positive ones. I suggest that instead of rigid goal-setting, a more gentle and natural approach to cultivating good habits can lead to sustainable change. By allowing ourselves to enjoy the process and recognizing our body's innate desire for well-being, we can foster healthier lifestyles without the pressure of forceful motivation.

In this episode, I touch on the idea that sometimes, we cannot change our situation, whatever it may be. In those instances, the only thing we can do is truly accept that this is our reality. This acceptance can lead to some relief from our suffering.
