As a podcast we are seeking to cover not just startups and entrepreneurs from the UAE, but the Middle East, so we were excited to interview Mohammed Aldossary, co-founder & CEO of Sary (a B2B ecommerce marketplace from Saudi Arabia) that has managed to raise USD 6.6 Million in Series A funding, during these unprecedented times.

Mohammed has had a very interesting professional trajectory from having two successful exits, to moving up from being the market launcher for Careem in Saudi Arabia to the General Manager.

During his time in Saudi Arabia, he started to identify pain points from the region, specifically with first mile, anergd thus Sary came into fruition.

At the Sharjah entrepreneurship festival 2019, we had the chance to catch up with one of the speakers, Jonas Kjellberg, who is one of the co-creators of Skype, a respected lecturer, author, and venture investor. Jonas is currently part of BCG Digital Ventures, a corporate investment and incubation firm.

As one of the founding partners of Skype, Jonas was part of one of the internet’s biggest businesses – a simple, innovative idea that has gone on to revolutionize and disrupt the telecommunications sector.
