Author Charlotte Kasl discusses her "controversial" book: MANY ROADS, ONE JOURNEY: MOVING BEYOND THE 12 STEPS. Her inclusive way of approaching addiction recovery is both tolerant and expansive which is built into the 16 steps she had spent years developing. Charlotte, also author of WOMEN, SEX & ADDICTION, shared about her years working as a counselor and talking to women. She discovered that many of the female addicts she spoke with were victims of sexual or physical abuse; where their sense of empowerment was stripped away.
