Vivir en la ciudad o en el campo

Testimonio de un citadino

Yo he vivido en la ciudad desde que era un niño, el campo está bien para ir a tomar aire limpio de vez en cuando o también para tomar unas vacaciones, pero yo soy un citadino. Yo no podría vivir nunca en el campo. Principalmente por razones profesionales, en la ciudad uno puede encontrar trabajo, pero sobre todo también por razones culturales. Teatros, cines, exposiciones, conciertos, restaurantes y cadenas de comida rápida. Se encuentra de todo en la ciudad, también gente que viene de varios países. A mí me encanta el ambiente internacional. Y si hablamos del aspecto académico, es evidente que en la ciudad se encuentran las mejores universidades. También aprecio el esfuerzo del gobierno por mejorar el sistema de transporte público y los servicios de bicicleta pública. Actualmente podemos transportarnos más eficazmente y fácilmente, es menos estresante.

Por supuesto hay algunos puntos negativos, como la contaminación, y los precios de las rentas, son muy elevados, pero al final de cuentas, yo no renunciaría nunca a la vida en una gran ciudad, es mucho más divertida e interesante.

Testimonio de una persona que vivió en la ciudad

Mi familia y yo hemos dejado la ciudad hace 6 años. Demasiado estrés, demasiada contaminación, el costo de vida es demasiado elevado y los tiempos para transportarte de tu casa al trabajo son exagerados. Nos hemos mudado a un pequeño pueblo de aproximadamente 5 mil habitantes. Hay una escuela muy cerca para los niños, y mi esposa y yo hemos abierto un pequeño negocio. Todas las personas viajan a pie o usan la bicicleta.

Aquí la vida es más tranquila, tenemos tiempo para hacer otras actividades por ejemplo pasear, hay un mercado todos los sábados por la mañana donde venden frutas y verduras frescas. Se encuentran productos de excelente calidad y naturales. También las personas son amigables y hay más convivencia. Aquí también tenemos internet, tenemos acceso a la modernidad. Después de todos estos años, no me arrepiento de haberme mudado al campo, estoy seguro que no vamos a regresar a una gran ciudad.
