Hi. It's us. We're the problem, it's us. We back y'all! We know it's been six months without us and to our die hard fans, we appreciate you and hope you'll join us again and tell a friend! Let's wrap up 2023 and start 2024 with a blast of nostalgia, pop culture, weirdness, and boston cream pie.
The Eras Tour swept through Denver last week and we want to talk about T-Swift again bc we didn't get to be there #whatever. The release of Speak Now: Taylor's Version has us in all the nostalgic feels.
Life is unfair and we're here to emphasize the gifted and nostalgic parts of our description with an episode about Malcolm in the Middle. #BryanCranstonForever
Adding to the graveyard of sitcoms that PERFECTLY reflect our lives, we found out this week that the incredibly casted sitcom, The Other Two, a satire of the entertainment industry, will not continue after its Season 3 finale. Despite what the internet thinks, we believe the characters' stories concluded beautifully, and we can only hope for the same happiness in our own lives.
Happy Pride! It's... JUST JACK... no it's our podcast but we're talking about the absolute GEM that is Will & Grace and amazingly enough, it's our 25th episode and the 25th anniversary of W&G! How neat is that??? Stay for the end where there are tangents galore.
WE'RE READYYYYYY! Are podcasts an instrument?
Celebrate being weird, unique, and porous with us today.
We welcome a wonderful friend of the show, Audrey, on to talk about her passion subject: SpongeBob SquarePants and all the joy it has brought to our collective culture and lives.
Thank you, Stephen Hillenburg, for the light you supplied to this world through the little yellow guy, and his pink, green, red, and brown friends
There was no pre-planned topic, but then Michael said "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?" and that sealed the fate. Are you still playing Neopets? Are you also a pervert? What was your interest level in Garfield? Would you attend a production of Claire's original show, Next to Nermal?
Nostalgic food alert!!! We talk about all your favorite snacks: Kid Cuisine, Cream Savers, Wonderballs, Trix Yogurt! Pour yourself a bowl of Oreo Os or Waffle Crisp, just don't share it with Michael because his least favorite things are cereal and mac and cheese (...seriously?). Also, we talk about Chik-fil-a's controversial decision to take away Arnold Palmer's namesake.
No it's not a typo...if you listen you'll understand. We promise. Or maybe not. Who understands anything anyway? This episode is full of tangents galore and will bring you nonsensical joy, as is our brand.
The Cheesecake Factory: No Rules, Just ~V~I~B~E~S~ Another mess of exhaustion, musical theatre nightmares, and nostalgic stories from the hosts' youth are in store for you in this episode where we talk about the Millenial Oasis: The Cheesecake Factory. Stay tuned to hear the actual sound of Michael falling out of his chair.
Join us for the absolute fever dream that is our lives and also the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical, CATS. If you're covered in Minion, this episode may be your favorite. Otherwise, we may have just alienated a lot of our listeners. We're not sorry. Thanks for being here with us as we dive into the characters and also the Thomas the Tank Engine Musical.
Sparkling Nonsense is back, ALRIGHT! We missed you during our break. Claire has learned how much directing HS theatre really takes it out of you, but we're back on track now. We promise this episode is about Mean Girls...mostly...but one of our BEST stories comes out near the end, you don't want to miss this!
WELCOME SPECIAL GUEST COHOST MADDI! Thanks for being our true fan and for being our first guest. So delightful to talk with you, we look forward to doing it again.
What's your favorite Brendan Frasier movie? Crash is weird, huh? Grab your espresso martini and enjoy our discussion of Brendan Frasier, his filmography, and how he's not only one of the few non-problematic straight white males in Hollywood, but just a stellar guy! We love him! So many subjects in this one.
We put a nice bow on all of the 2022 sparkling nonsense and pop culture happenings in the big world and in our tiny niche world, you're welcome. Welcome to 2023! We made it to the new year and couldn't have done it without all of our supporters! Thank you for sparkling on with us.
Grab your Abuela and your skis because we are Falling for Christmas with Lindsey Lohan, Trouty Mouth, and the Desk Angel! Who's your starter amnesia pokemon: Wallace, Potter, or Sarah? We hate this. Merry crisis, one and all.
It's that time of year again! Winter, the holidays, Christmas specials of your favorite nostalgic TV shows. This week we recognize and pay tribute to the life and joy of Aaron Carter and his appearance on the Lizzie McGuire Christmas special of 2001. Of course, we do have to fight about pecan pie and other shenanigans. Did you watch House of Carter of E!? Well, if you didn't, don't! It's very sad.
We get roasted by Gen Z on Twitter for being born Millenials and then we get in a fight. Is this the last time we sparkle together? Stay tuned to find out.
Snow on the beach - where is LDR? That's okay, we're only here for TSwift anyway. Do you feel like the monster on a hill with all of Liz Lemon's Sexy Babies? That's okay, so do we. Thanks, Tina Fey. Just like, J-Lo, we LOVE TSwift. She is a non-evil, evil genius. A gifted writer. Are you her target market too? Great! Listen to this episode. Instagram photo explanation included!
Apologies for the delay in release... we had a glitch but thank you for bearing with us!
Don't worry darling, Harry Styles does a great job in this one. Miss Flo can get it. It's spooky season and this movie has us thoroughly creeped out. The nostalgia is REAL.
BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE PODCAST! Sorry for the break, but here we are discussing the brilliant 2013 comedy and Jennifer-Aniston-Sex-Fest: We're the Millers? Naw what we're sayin'? Mikey B and Scotty P are in the studio with cfounie for this one! If you know any famous Jennifers, please give them our contact info so that we can make our weekly serial about Jennifer.
