What if we’re not living in reality, but in a deception within a deception?
In this episode, I dive deep into the disturbing intersection of artificial intelligence, climate collapse, and spiritual disconnection. We explore how AI is not “in the cloud” but grounded in real-world destruction.
I unpack the theory that society is willingly building The Matrix in real time and how Islam has already warned us that this world is a test, a delusion, and a distraction.
I don't read because I am bored. I read to understand people, choices, pain, love, and everything in between.
In this episode of Something 20, I dive into three unforgettable books that left a mark on me:
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, which is a story of power, sacrifice, and identity behind the face of Hollywood
Verity is a haunting thriller that made me question everything about truth, love, and manipulation
Lastly, there's We Were Liars, which is a beautifully broken tale of grief, memory, and the lies we tell ourselves to survive
Each of these books carries lessons beyond fiction. Join me as I reflect on what each author taught me about being in your twenties when you are figuring out who you are, what matters, and what to leave behind.
In a world where our lives are constantly curated for the feed, this episode dives deep into the question: Why do we feel the need to post everything?
From dopamine hits and digital validation to the deeper spiritual questions we often ignore. We explore the science behind our posting habits and the Islamic reflections that challenge us to rethink our intentions.
If you've ever felt like you're living your life more online than offline, this one’s for you.
This is a brand new season....
In this episode, I play the card game Let’s Get Deep, answering lighthearted, funny, and surprisingly deep questions that take unexpected turns. But it’s not just all games and laughter. I also take time to speak about something important: the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
This episode is a mix of personal reflection, raw honesty, and a reminder that while we can enjoy moments of connection and joy, we are also responsible for using our voices for justice.
Tune in for both the heart and the heat. 🎧
We have reached the end of season 2... what the helly.
So happy to announce season 3: new logo, new look, and new topics brewing right now.
We will have a lot of guests coming this season....
Stay tuned for more stuff.
In today’s episode, I want to start by holding space for all the Muslims around the world facing pain, hardship, and injustice, especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Pakistan, and beyond. It’s hard to carry on with life while their struggles often go unnoticed, but we remember them and pray for their strength and justice.
Then, we dive into a deeply personal topic: feeling like you’re not a priority in the lives of people you care about. It’s not always about big fights or drama; sometimes it’s the little things, the silence, the one-sided effort, and the slow drift apart that hurt the most. I share my own experiences and thoughts on why some friendships fade, how to recognise when it’s time to let go, and why it’s okay to choose peace over chasing people who don’t value you.
We also explore the beauty of friendships that withstand distance and time, the importance of genuine effort, and how true connection feels like home. Finally, I reflect on the spiritual side of friendship from an Islamic perspective—how the people we surround ourselves with shape who we are and how, sometimes, letting go is a form of mercy and protection for our hearts.
If you’ve ever felt left out, unseen, or like you care more than they do, this episode is for you.
Let’s talk about it with honesty, kindness, and hope.
This episode is close to the heart. I’m sharing real stories from the Partition — stories of heartbreak, sacrifice, and moments of unexpected kindness. But this isn’t just about the past — it’s about what that history means for us today.
We talk about why learning history matters, why saying “it’s not my problem” isn’t good enough, and how events like the Partition still echo in places like Kashmir and Palestine. I also share emotional true stories, a reminder of the strength in our ummah, and what we can do as Muslims living in the West.
This episode ends with a reminder: our faith, our compassion, and our willingness to care — that’s how we keep their stories alive.
In this heartfelt episode, we dive into something many of us silently struggle with—khushu (focus, humility, and presence) in prayer. Following up on our last episode about the why behind Salah, this one explores the how. How do we stop our minds from wandering? How do we stand before Allah with true presence, not just motion?
I open up about my own journey with khushu, from TikTok moments that sparked reflection to wisdom my mom passed down to me. I also share practical steps that help me prepare my heart for prayer, create a peaceful prayer space, and truly understand the words I recite.
Whether you’re someone trying to reconnect with your Salah or just looking for a reminder to slow down and be present, this episode is for you.
Let’s stop treating prayer like a to-do list and start treating it like the soul-recharging gift it really is. 💫
This is a sign for you...
Let’s be honest—praying five times a day isn’t always easy. Sometimes we do it out of habit, sometimes we skip it, and sometimes… we don’t even know why we’re doing it at all.
In this episode, I’m getting real about Salah. Where it came from, how it started, why it matters so much, and what happens when we ignore it—not just spiritually, but mentally and physically too.
We’ll talk about:
The original 50 prayers (yes, really)
What the Qur’an actually says about Salah
Why skipping prayer is deeper than “just forgetting”
The science behind what it does to your brain and body
And a few heart-hitting examples that might just change how you see prayer forever
This one’s for anyone who’s ever struggled with prayer, felt distant, or just wants to reconnect. No judgment—just reflection, reminders, and real talk.
🕊️ Take a deep breath. Maybe it’s time to answer the call.
📖 The Silent Patient is one of those books that lingers in your mind long after you turn the last page. In this episode, I’m diving deep into the psychological twists, the unreliable narrators, and the hidden layers of silence, trauma, and betrayal that make this thriller so gripping.
🔎 Was Alicia truly the villain, or just another victim? Is Theo a hero, or something much darker? And did you catch the clues leading up to that jaw-dropping twist?
Join me as I break down each character, analyze the major themes, and rate the book ★★★★☆ (4/5). Let’s talk about why this book still has us questioning everything.
✨ DM me your thoughts or drop a comment—did you predict the ending, or did it completely shock you? 🤯
Ever feel like no matter how much you sleep, you still wake up exhausted? 😵💫 You’re eating right, working, studying, and doing all the things—so why does it feel like your energy is constantly running on 1%?
In this episode of Something 20, we’re breaking down:
🔋 The hidden causes of fatigue (it’s NOT just about sleep)
🧠 Why mental and emotional exhaustion hit harder than physical tiredness
📱 How your friendships, social media habits, and even overworking could be draining you
🌿 The real way to recharge your energy—beyond just getting more rest
And here’s the big question: Are the people in your life fueling you or draining you? Because sometimes, exhaustion isn’t about what you’re doing—it’s about who you’re surrounding yourself with.

🚨 Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of domestic violence, femicide, and graphic details of violent crimes. 🚨
Not all murders shake a nation. Some slip through the cracks, barely making it past a police report. But every now and then, a case emerges that forces a society to confront its darkest truths.
In this gripping episode of Something 20, we delve into the shocking murder of Noor Mukadam, a young Pakistani woman brutally killed by a wealthy and entitled man who believed his privilege would protect him. Her case ignited nationwide outrage, exposing the harsh realities of gender-based violence and power dynamics in Pakistan. But this isn’t just one country’s story.
We then travel across the world to Australia, where Hannah Clarke and her three young children fell victim to a horrific act of domestic violence, and to India, where Shraddha Walkar’s brutal murder uncovered chilling patterns of abuse and control.
Three women. Three countries. The same tragic fate.
Why does this keep happening? How do powerful men get away with violence for so long? And most importantly—how can we stop this cycle?
Join me as we uncover the truth behind these devastating cases and discuss what needs to change. This is an episode you can’t afford to miss.

New year, new me... or at least, new attempts at being a better human. In this episode, we’re diving into my 2025 goals—because let’s be real, I need to hit the gym, stop spending my entire student budget on outside food, and finally work on my anger issues (pray for me).
We’re also getting deep about friendships—why do we chase people who treat us like side characters in their lives? Spoiler: We’re not doing that in 2025. Plus, we’ll tackle the age-old question: Can girls travel alone in Islam? Is it a safety concern, a religious rule, or just cultural pressure? Let’s break it down.
So grab a snack (a home-packed one, because we’re saving money now), and let’s chat about growth, faith, and letting go of people who think we need to earn their time. 🎙️✨

Ever wondered if we're stuck in a time loop or if the moon landing was a total hoax? Or how about the whole deep fake thing — is it possible that people we see on screen aren’t actually real? In this episode, we dive into some of the craziest internet conspiracy theories that are blowing up on TikTok right now. From infinite time loops to the idea that 5G caused COVID, we unpack it all.
We also take a look at the science behind these theories and bring in a little Islamic perspective on truth, knowledge, and what we should really be paying attention to.
Whether you're here for the wild speculation or just to get some laughs, this episode is packed with mind-bending ideas and a whole lot of fun. So grab your headphones and let's get into it!
While recording this episode, I constantly thought about the time I had spent listening to music. This episode is a self-reminder for me first and then a reminder for anyone listening to this. I am a sinner like everyone else. Kindly don't think that recording this ep means that I don't listen to music, however, I have identified that it is a problem. Pray for me and everyone trying to quit music and get closer to Allah. Don't forget to pray for Gaza. I hope that you are doing something every day for Gaza. It could be anything: donating, posting online about it and praying for them. I hope you were able to learn something through this. Just a reminder that this world is nothing but a beautiful lie and we tend to forget that. As a Muslim, I would like to remind you about this.
Please share your thoughts on this music concept...
Hi, I had such a fun time recording this episode. I was lost in this topic I could talk about it for hours but, for recording purposes, I had to keep it short I talk about a lot of things in it, mainly how I deal with loneliness, and how I spend my time by myself. I talked about how being alone can help you shape your identity and your personality I mentioned how being silent, helps me grow my confidence and my self-esteem. The alone time helped shape my confidence it made me who I am today. I further want to explore this phase of my life in the depth of it. I want to make part two of it so that I need to experience more things in the phase. I hope you can pick one or two things from this episode that resonate with you and will stick by you. I always record episodes and I want to have my listeners and my audience take away little pieces little bits of advice.
Hope you see you in the next one.
