Ep#66 – The Grimm Truth of Nature Spirits and Media | Seers See Podcast with Doug & Emily
Our culture is re-enchanting the world—but without Christ at the center. From Grimm to The Witcher, Supernatural to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, modern media revives the pagan imagination and Kabbalistic mysticism, offering spirituality without holiness, mystery without moral order, and transcendence without redemption. In this episode, Doug and Emily continue their deep dive into the unseen realm—examining how today’s entertainment shapes our ideas about nature spirits, magic, prophecy, and spiritual reality.🎭 In This Episode:- Grimm, Supernatural, Buffy, The Witcher, Carnival – media that reintroduces pagan and Kabbalistic worldviews- Foucault’s Pendulum and The Redwing Saga – clashing worldviews engage the lure lure and danger of hidden knowledge- What is magic—and how does it differ from the miraculous?- The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings – how Lewis and Tolkien re-enchanted the imagination - Prophecy, poltergeists, and the spirits that “can’t cross water”- Pharaoh and the waters of judgment – biblical parallels to modern myths- The Enlightenment’s “disenchantment” of the world—and our culture’s craving to reawaken it- Native Americans and declarations to their dead and deities🕯️ A Culture Re-Enchanted—But ChristlessOur modern storytellers are rebuilding a spiritual world, but one rooted in pagan and Kabbalistic ideas:- Nature as divine and self-powered- Magic as neutral force, shaped by will- Salvation through secret knowledge or bloodline- A cosmos filled with beings—but absent its CreatorThis worldview promises transcendence but ends in confusion—just as Umberto Eco warned in Foucault’s Pendulum, where seekers of hidden truth become enslaved by the myth they created. The biblical worldview offers something far greater:“The universe is enchanted because God is present—not because it is divine.”Creation is alive, but it worships, not commands.Spiritual power flows from communion with Christ, not manipulation of unseen forces.True prophecy and true wonder come from walking with the Holy Spirit, not chasing secret knowledge.🕊️ Doug & Emily remind us:“You don’t need to fear the spiritual realm—or imitate it.You just need to walk with God in it.”

Ep#65 Nature Spirits, Stoicheion, and Seers
Many seers report seeing spirits in nature — in trees, rivers, mountains, or storms. Some Christian voices call all of this witchcraft. Others embrace pagan ideas of “elementals.” So what’s really going on?In this episode, Doug and Emily begin to unpack the biblical, historical, and spiritual realities behind nature spirits. We’ll look at what ancient cultures believed about “elementals,” how Scripture uses the word stoicheion, and what it means that creation “praises God.”- We also discuss nature spirits in pre-Christian Europe and medieval imagination- Stoicheion and the biblical worldview of “elemental powers”- How creation worships by functioning as God designed... but there are other ways to read those passages. - Why fear-based, hyper-religious teaching about nature spirits distorts truth- How false prophets minister to spirits, but true prophets minister to humansWe shares frustration with modern Christian fear-mongering online, and together we respond with a Kingdom of God mindset:“Learn to hear the Holy Spirit, know the Scriptures, and find freedom in Christ.God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”Whether you’re a seer, a skeptic, or simply curious about how creation reveals God’s glory, this episode invites you to see the world the way Jesus did — alive with meaning, yet under His authority. We unpack a lot, and decide Doug is left wanting to think about what was discussed, to conclude the conversation on nature spirits next week.

In this episode of the Seers See Podcast, Doug and Emily tackle the sensitive and timely topic of drugs, spiritual perception, and the Kingdom of God.Together we explore: - Personal stories of spiritual curiosity, sobriety and naïveté about drugs. - The modern drug landscape: marijuana legalization, ayahuasca retreats, “toking the Holy Ghost,” neo-pagan revivals, and why today’s culture is drawn to altered states. - Ancient Near Eastern practices- Evidence of mind-altering drug use in The Hebrew Bible? - New Testament clarity- Theological Reflection: --Substances = manipulation, counterfeit, deception.-- Spirit = God’s initiative, trustworthy, transformative.- Hope for today: If you’ve experimented with drugs for spiritual reasons, there’s freedom in Christ. - Authentic intimacy with God replaces counterfeit highs.0:10 Intro03:00 Our Stories12:50 Modern Context 25:00 Ancient Near East & the Old Testament54:00 Dealing with the shortcut of using drugs for spiritual purposes. 58:00 Appropriate Use of Drugs, hallucination vs real spiritual visions01:04:20 Pharmakeia and Witchcraft01:07:00 How do you get off the drugs? ✅ Key takeaway: The Bible acknowledges that substances can alter perception — but warns against them as counterfeit pathways. Ep#61 Did Witches Really Curse Charlie Kirk?
Megyn Kelly reported that the Jezebel website hired witches on Etsy to curse Charlie Kirk just days before he was assassinated. Two days before the assassination, Jezebel published an article detailing the reasons why they hated Charlie Kirk, how to find a witch to cast a curse, and then chronicled how they hired a witch who attempted to unleash the forces of darkness on Charlie. The witch proved the spell was cast and stated it was successful. The night before Charlie was shot, he and his wife Erika, deeply troubled by these reports, prayed together with a friend regarding their concerns. After the assassination, Jezebel claimed the article was satire and removed it from the site. Etsy similarly removed the spell store of Priestess Lilin, who is referenced in the article as casting a spell. The witch is now using the publicity for profit as a false prophet. Can you really buy a curse online? Are curses real? What does the Bible say about this? Can Christians be cursed? How should Christians respond to witches among us? In this episode of Seers See Podcast, Doug and Emily take a deep dive into the modern fascination with witchcraft and curses—yes, even the ease of purchasing them on sites like Etsy. We unpack Priestess Lilin’s claims of taking “responsibility” for the effectiveness of her curses. We further explore Scripture’s teaching on curses, including the ancient concept of the “Evil Eye." Then we look at Jesus’ surprising teachings on curses and how to respond to witches and others who may hate Christians, which turn the power of curses on its head. 1:00 Witches Hired to Curse Charlie Kirk9:00 Etsy Spells18:00 Don’t hate witches. 20:20 Galatians 3, the Curse of the Law22:45 Curses in the Bible, including the Evil Eye32:00 “The Internet has turned us into Accidental Witches.” 33:30 Christians Can Be Cursed. 40:30 Jesus explains what attracts curses52:00 Dealing with church hurt. 57:00 How to respond to Pagan Bookstores in our Midst?

#62 The Powers and Passover: Pagan Worldview Clashing with Christian Worldview
Seers See Podcast | Powers and the Passover: Worldview MattersIn this episode, Doug and Emily dive into the appendix “Powers and the Passover” and quickly explore why worldview is everything. We contrast the pagan worldview described in Romans 1—where humanity exchanges truth for lies and God hands people over to destructive behaviors—with the Christian worldview, which begins with knowing who God is and who we are as His image bearers. That foundation leads to right living, peace, and freedom.Along the way, we unpack:* The dangers of monism and Gnosticism and how they still shape modern culture, resulting to so many societal ills. * How the Christian worldview restores true identity and purpose.* Reflections from Peter Jones’ The Other Worldview: Exposing Christianity’s Greatest Threat.* Why setting your worldview early matters for how you live and engage society.* A look at Charlie Kirk’s role as a missionary voice, seeking to communicate and defend the Christian worldview in a culture slipping into pagan patterns.* How you view God determines how you view sex and sexuality If you’ve ever wondered why ideas about God, humanity, and truth matter so much—or why distorted worldviews lead to distorted lives—this conversation is for you.We also invite listeners to share what you'd like us to cover next! 👉 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share to help more people discover the Seers See Podcast.
