In this episode, we have an incredible conversation with Siamak Hodjat, a pioneer in the AI assistance ecosystem. Siamak graduated from Sharif University in computer science and earned a master’s from Amir Kabir University. He joined Dejima in 1999, co-founded by his brother Babak Hodjat, and was part of the team that created Siri with Adam Cheyer. Siri was later acquired by Apple during the Steve Jobs era. Amirali completed his undergraduate degree in Commerce at the University of British Columbia. He then moved to Dubai to work for Deloitte, where he spent three years before relocating to London while continuing his work with Deloitte for an additional six years. Afterward, he returned to Iran and joined one of Rocket Internet's ventures, Snapptrip, as the Managing Director. After two years, he remained in the travel industry but moved to Thailand to join Agoda, which is part of Booking.com, as the Head of Product. Subsequently, he moved to the Bay Area and founded a startup called hostAI.
