Riding back home from the doctor's office, while sitting at a red light, I catch a glimpse of one my favorite movies; Kung Fu Panda 3. It's the scene where Po meets his biological father for the first time. In the interaction, the question comes up of how did he know where to find Po. The answer the father gave was so simple; "I received a message from the Universe." In that one sentence, all was answered and all was believed. It was finite, complete and unrefutably the truth. It got me to thinking, why don't we treat GOD's word like that. .
I want to get back to believing that what GOD has said, what HE has told me, IT IS SO.
And that's it.

I've been working through trying to finish the tasks that are from a couple of list, 1. GOD's purpose and plan for my life, 2. My own personal check list. Even when I say I am done with an item off the list, I actually find I'm not done. This got me to thinking about how when I say it's complete, there is often 2 or 3 things that need to be done, vs. when GOD says it's complete, FRFR it's complete!
When HE created the earth, it was complete, when HE created man HE was complete, and when JESUS died on the cross for our sins, it was COMPLETE, back then, in the future and even now. HIS complete is whole and right, and if in your life GOD has told you things that aren't done yet, they aren't complete yet; this my friends is good news.
This means that GOD is not done with you yet! It's not over, but it is complete and will be!

Last few weeks I've been speaking on bad habits, the habit of rebellion, the habit of arguing with Hope, the habit of complaining... It's been very eye opening! This week it's time to put new habits in place. Mainly, the habit of Obedience. Simply put, when GOD says move, you move; the habit of obedience only requires action aka forward movement.
tend to have a million questions about, how is it going to get done, I don't have this or that, I'm not this or that, based on society standards; but all of that is IRRELEVANT! All GOD needs from us is movement, action in the direction HE has asks us to move in. I will not neglect the fact that in some cases moving in the direction that GOD has asked us to go in, has past pain and hurt, or we just don't want to do it, we don't want to be crushed again. That's real, I totally get that. But give all of those feelings and all of that pain and anguish to GOD, as you move in the direction that HE has told you to go into.

Last week we talked about the habit of Rebellion, and I couldn't help but realize in changing my habits I also have to change my speech and thoughts. In reading my verse of the day and daily plan called I'm Encouraging in the Bible App, it spoke about Psalm 42, where David had to encourage himself and was essentially arguing with himself and resolving to trust GOD no matter how he felt or what was going on around him. This made me think, I've been arguing with hope for far too long.
Arguing with hope, is disagreeing with what GOD says about you, with who HE says you are, and what HE says you can do. It essentially says that GOD is a liar, and we know that ain't true. This was so eye opening, and a little unbelieveable of how long I been self-sabotaging and arguing with hope. I tell you now, I WILL NO LONGER ARGUE WITH HOPE!!!

Just the other day, I said I'm going to sit down and write this book just as GOD told me to do. I began to work on a t-shirt design, looked at a sale the Bath & Body Works was having, and then scrolled through social media for the next 2 hours. I couldn't understand why when I really wanted to be obedient to GOD and do what HE asks me to do. I realized, it's because I have developed the habit of rebellion.
Rebellion - the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention.

I don't want to live life in a dry land, or without GOD's hand on my life!! I have created a habit of rebellion, it has become habitual to not immediately obey GOD.
Habit - a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up.
So I must repent, I repent and turn to GOD for HIS mercy and grace and for HIS restoration, and give up this horrible habit of rebellion.

This morning I woke up with the question, "why am I doing these Saturdays with GOD, what's the point?". This was a pivotal moment; do I quit or do I press on. We are all running our individual race but every person will come to this moment that forces you to make a decision. I will admit that too often I given in to the thought of does this really matter, and I decided that it didn't.
But today is a NEW DAY!!! I walked right passed that moment and began recording. In doing so I realized that this moments presents an opportunity to have a different perspective with 2 new views.
New Views:
1. I'm almost finished - almost to the end
2. I can do this, I can finish
My journey matters, my destiny matters, I matter!!! And I can do this! Just a little pep talk for the journey ahead!

So much has transpired since 2022 began, it's been a hard ride, but I know in the end it will all be worth it. In the meantime there is work to be done. After I posted about my major trust issues on Instagram, I begin to write down every offense, every hurt that had ever happened, by the time I got to the 4th page, I was exhausted and genuinely felt, this is ridiculous!
I have had all of these file cabinets full of offenses, anything that anyone has ever done to me that hurt my feelings or that truly broke my heart, I filed it. Most of the time I didn't even say anything, I just filed away the hurt, so I could bring it up another day. Over time, the file cabinets have gotten fuller and heavier, and the mental clutter has become unbearable. Not to mention how much all of this prevents from me living a full life of abundance.
The whole time, while I was thinking that some how I was holding the person who offended me hostage, holding them prisoner, I thought that I was truly causing them some type of hurt but I was really only building a prison around myself. Pastor Mike Todd @ Transformation Church spoke about this in his series, Forgiveness University. My filing cabinets were becoming, had become my prison.
I will not continue to live this way. Not to mention, if I don't forgive others, GOD will not forgive me...
Matthew 6:15 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
I want to be forgiven, I need to be forgiven! I want to live a full life and not be so stuck behind all these filing cabinets. The goal is to live the life that GOD has promised me, a life where I am unquestionably free.
John 8:36 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Have you ever needed a surgery, needed a healing, but your fear wouldn't allow you to stay in the place of healing long enough to receive it? Allow me to expound on that a little more. I have been praying to GOD for healing on my heart, and GOD keeps putting me in an uncomfortable position to love others. This is extremely uncomfortable, painful actually, so when placed in these situations, I have a choice to make. Does this sound familiar to you?
Unfortunately, I keep walking out of the place, the operating room if you will, where GOD is trying to do the work that I have prayed so much for, and consequently, I am still praying for. This time, I will not leave, I have taken my running shoes off, and though it is uncomfortable, although there is significant pressure that can be mistaken for pain, I will not leave. I must get my healing! I admonish you as well, stop getting up from the operating room table!

This week I was awaken at 3am, with the vision of my mess. GOD illuminated my clutter; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual clutter, that is keeping me from completing my purpose and basically just holding me back. What I have to do is a Factory Reset.
Factory Reset - To restore to zero (clear) – Erases everything that’s been added, all things that were not added by the original maker. It clears any pending errors or events and brings the system back to normal conditions or initial state.
I can't continue to live this way, as I push and press towards GOD, I am sluggish, and weighed down by all the baggage I keep trying to take with me on this assignment. This is not the way, and I will never make it, trying to hold on to the past, hold on to hurt and pain, shame and guilt, holding on to my fears, my old way of thinking. All of these things are preventing me from completing the tasks in front of me.
GOD has set me free through JESUS's sacrifice, why do I constantly put myself back in bondage.

I am on a journey to get rid of all this extra weight, so I can get on the train and on to my next destination; my purpose.

This week GOD told me no, and simply put, I was suffering from a little, well a lot bit of FOMO.
FOMO - Fear of Missing Out - anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may currently be happening elsewhere, often aroused by posts seen on social media.
Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_missing_out) puts it this way: is the feeling of apprehension that one is either not in the know or missing out on information, events, experiences, or life decisions that could make one's life better. FOMO is also associated with a fear of regret, which may lead to concerns that one might miss an opportunity for social interaction, a novel experience, a memorable event, or a profitable investment. It is characterized by a desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing, and can be described as the fear that deciding not to participate is the wrong choice. FOMO could result from not knowing about a conversation, missing a TV show, not attending a wedding or party, or hearing that others have discovered a new restaurant. FOMO in recent years has been attributed to a number of negative psychological and behavioral symptoms.
What I didn't realize, and I really had to ask myself is, why don't you have FOMO when it comes to GOD?

This week I tried to convince myself that I was alone and that everything that I had on my plate, I would have to struggle through myself. The LORD politely reminded me, multiple times, that I am not alone, that HE has given me community.
Community: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
We were not meant to live alone or to be alone, we as Christians are one body, meant to work together in unity.
1 Corinthians 12 (Whole Chapter) One Body Many Members
No man is an island. I have my church community, my Belong group community, my family and my friends. They rally around me, they hold me accountable, they have good expectation of me, the love and support me, as well as empowering me to continue this walk with GOD. Not to mention, they are my SOS line when I need pray, a helping hand or just someone to listen.
You are not alone, whatever you are dealing with or going through there is someone out there who can relate. The enemy would have you think that you are completely alone and no one will understand; LIES!

Just when I make the declaration that I am going to complete the assignments GOD gave to me last year, I find myself doing any and everything but the assignments. Ugh, Distractions.
Definition:
Distractions - a thing that prevents someone from giving full attention to something else.
For me there are 3 types of distractions; 2 of which I have experienced many times over, but the third is something new.
1. Beautiful Distractions - These are intriguing, enticing, mind altering, beautiful people, places or things, that will pull you completely away from what you should be doing. Your heart, soul, and your emotions can get all entangled by these types of distractions. They potentially can stick around for quite a while and cause major heartbreak.
2. Time-Waster Distractions - These types have one purpose and one purpose only, to waste your time. They don't necessary cause you heartache, they are merely annoying and upsetting. Once you wake up from the distraction, you realize that you have wasted so much time, and you have not much if anything to show for it.
3. Uncomfortable Distractions - These types start out as beautiful, and they definitely waste your time, but unlike 1 and 2, you are aware that it's a distraction and your choice to participate in the distraction. Basically, I chose to take part in this and I'm not even enjoying it, it's no longer enticing, it's definitely wasting my time, and because I am aware I am super uncomfortable because I see what it is doing to me.
Being in or working with an uncomfortable distractions is a horrible place to be but it is also a great place. It is the uncomfortableness that pushes you to make a change, for some of us, well most really, being uncomfortable awakens us and moves us closer to GOD to hear HIS direction, as well as forces us to change our behavior, so we never come back to this feeling.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Welcome to 2022!
Did you think you would be here? Well thank GOD that you are! This week I have been struggling with the things that GOD assigned to me but I haven't completed, and now we are approaching another year. This hit me hard as we discussed the Parable of the Talents, Matthew 25:14-30. Because I have previously refused to complete the work assigned to me, I have been Forfeiting GOD the opportunity to get all the glory out of my life. I don't want to be like the man with 1 talent, who buried it and did nothing with the talent. So when the master, there was no return on his investment. When out MASTER returns I want to make sure that everything HE put in my hand is complete, so that HE can get a full return of glory on HIS investment in me.

It took me a long time before I realized that I treated GOD, like HE was my earthly father. I didn't fully believe or trust what HE said, because I couldn't trust or believe what my earthly father said. If he didn't come through, why should I believe that GOD will; simple, HE already has. Over and over again HE has shown up for me, always keeps HIS word; I CAN trust HIM. This is so important as we continue to mind our business because if I can't trust GOD, what HE has told me to do, I won't do it, I will believe my experience, and my past. GOD is not my earthly father.
