Timun Mas or Golden Cucumber is a folktale from Central Java. A magical folktale that tells a story about a giant who granted the childless old woman's wish of having a child by giving her magic cucumber seed. Timun Mas was born from inside of the magical golden cucumber. Cucumber here refers to gourds or squashes.
