The term “pseudo” means something that appears real but is actually fake—something that has the same outward appearance but is fundamentally different inside.In religious circles, this is referred to as heresy, and within Christianity, there are many so-called “pseudo-religions” or “heretical sects.” The severity of their influence also seems to be quite significant. We must not neglect even one word of the Old Testament because all the words of Jehovah God are words of life. The passage we read today instructs that those who wish to keep the Passover must be circumcised before they may do so. Without circumcision, one cannot participate in the Passover ceremony. This verse should not be used by sinners who have sin in their hearts as an attempt to receive cleansing of sins by confessing their current sins. Do you understand? This verse is for the righteous.In this world, there are sinners who have not been born again who are using 1 John 1:9 as a method to deal with the sins they have committed by making confession prayers. However, can a sinner who has not been born again truly receive complete removal of sins by confessing their sins through prayer? Melchizedek, a priest, appears in the Old Testament. According to the Bible, Abraham took the trained men from his household to war and defeated King Chedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, completely destroying them, and rescued his nephew Lot. On his way back from the battle, Melchizedek, a priest, came out with bread and wine to greet Abraham and blessed him. Today’s scripture reading is one we have heard many times before, but I have chosen it for us to reflect upon once again. Today, I would like to talk about the spiritual poison that Satan has sown in people through religious councils in the past. Just as the human body needs an antidote when poisoned, let us examine what kinds of teachings are spiritually poisonous to our hearts.Satan has spread two spiritual poisons among Christians living on this earth. One of these poisons is the false claim that John the Baptist was a failure in faith. If believers in Jesus dismiss the faith of John the Baptist, they also disregard his ministry of baptizing Jesus, through which the sins of the world were passed on to Him. I want to ask this question: Are the churches that exist in this world today properly fulfilling their functions? To properly fulfill the function of the church as described in the Bible, the church must be a place that testifies to the salvation work of Jesus Christ, enabling people to receive the remission of sins in their hearts. It must also fulfill the role of salt in the world. To do so, the church of God must be able to wash away all the sins committed by Adam’s descendants by testifying to the righteous work of Jesus Christ.
