Hello everyone!
Today we're talking about Sally Rooney's book Normal People and how sometimes relationships that seem strange and "weird" are not unique to the two people in it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Hello everyone!
I must apologise for the quality of this episode, it has been a long day and I really wanted to get this one out there but unfortunately, I feel like I didn't quite do this one justice! But the message still stands! What can we control to make sure we are successful?
Thanks again for listening in!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Read More Books Podcast. My name is Eamon and I am out here trying to Read More Books and share with you some of my thoughts of those books along the way. Continuing where we left off, we’re here again with Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.
Where we are discussing the problem with geniuses. And that problem is as we discover through a 100-year-old study by Lewis Terman, of young minds with high IQ scores is “that intellect and achievement are far from perfectly correlated”, which for me, that was great news. But what made it so?
Thanks again for listening in guys, hope you enjoyed and you have a fantastic day!
Hello everyone!
Moving onto my second book now, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell! Going well so far, hope you stick around!
Hello everyone!
This is the last instalment of Paul Kalanithi's When Breath Becomes Air and in it's completion, it is important to reflect just the same as Paul had throughout the book.
Hope you enjoy this one, I appreciate you guys for listening. Please do go ahead and read the book, it's an amazing journey!
Hello everyone!
Double upload today since I missed yesterday (yes I am disappointed too :(...)! However in this one, I talk about what is it that we value, and can we get more of that in our lives? After a relentless pursuit at a neurosurgical career, it is fitting that where Paul Kalanithi ended up was back to work, operating on patients all the same, as if he never had cancer to begin with, simply because his oncologist insisted that he persisted to continue with what he values, what was important to him.
So how can we do they same?
Hello everyone!
Today is the second day reading through When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. I thought it interesting that often doctors are asked to put their patients first but sometimes, that means after working many hours or being completely drained of energy to then suck it up and keep moving forward. Though this is out of their hands, we can at least ask ourselves whether we are always putting others in front of ourselves when sometimes what we need to do is take a step back and look after ourselves first.
Thanks again for listening in!
Hello everyone!
Today I have started off a new book called "When Breath Becomes Air" by Paul Kalanithi, a memoir written by him after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
In this episode today, I briefly explore how mothers play such an important role in our lives and usually, we are completely oblivious to it. Hopefully, we can all take a moment to appreciate their continuous support in our lives. I know I definitely could be much more appreciative of all the wonderful things my own mother has done for me over my brief stint at being a human.
Thank you very much for listening!
Hello everyone!
My name is Eamon and I, just like a lot of people, have been stuck inside and took to reading as a way to pass a lot of the time. Since then, I have found that a lot of the joy from reading a book comes from the discussion and exploration of the things that are presented within. My girlfriend is most likely sick of me talking about everything I am reading so I am now starting a podcast to get a lot of that out of my system.
What I aim to do is make a short episode every day with a few thoughts on what I had most recently read and would love to hear from you your thoughts and what you are reading as well!
Most recently I have been reading through a lot of non-fiction and self-development books but would love your recommendations for other great reads too.
Happy reading!
