The Cologne-based producer, DJ, and freestyle rapper was inspired by the German beat scene, J Dilla, and underground niche rap while growing up in hip-hop.
He simultaneously dove deep into the electronic sphere of the four-on-the-floor groove, discovering the shared DNA between beat-driven hip-hop and early house productions — from the raw energy to the production techniques of the legendary Akai MPC.
Over the years, Slippy G. has built his own creative playground, crafting a sound that blends groove, warmth, and raw authenticity with his own vocals.

@Patraik played a set for the Querfeldrhein After Show at Schleuse Zwei, a Listening Bar equipped with a great sound system at the Bilker Bunker. The former bunker is a new cultural institution in the middle of Düsseldorf, here regularly changing exhibitions take place, there are rooms for use as well as the great music bar in the basement.
Recorded with 2 x Technics 1210, 2 x CDJs and the infamous Varia Instruments RDM 40 Rotary. What a mixer!
Expect some disco edits, house classics and notorious evergreens.

Bio:
Almost Famous is a Berlin based DJ. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing only a few years back. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organizes and hosts ‘Not In My House’ and ‘Disko, No Disko’, both recurring club nights at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.
We are happy and proud to announce our second release in this so difficult year 2021. Music, at least for us, was an important factor to get through well mentally, always keeping the smile and remembering the long club nights when we seemed to be almost unstoppable and forgot everything around us. Where everything became one and trivialities no longer counted. Where everyone was like the other.
We also had this feeling when we got to know Pietro aka Peter LC (@petermlc) from Italy through our label buddy @berlinanton, who runs his project and label @discodiscorecords. His tracks convinced and during the first video call it turned out that Pietro is a super nice, likeable guy - who already shows his extraordinary talent in his young years.
Mastered by Nico Lahs (@nico-lahs) who recently released an EP on Mike Grant's legendary M&G label, we are happy to present this super fresh sounding deep house 4-tracker strictly designed for the dancefloor.
