In this episode we explore the biblical story Acts of Thecla and the fictional story Our Aim is not to Die. We highlight issues that relate to gender roles and sexuality and then Dismantle them. We also explore how ones race, gender, socioeconomic status, mental health can further compound these issues. We used examples from Lorde, Schaberg and Gafney to support our main stories. And finally we encourage you listeners to take action in contemporary society and Dismantle these societal roles and expectations. Remember our aim is to dismantle.
