I've realize a kind of recurring theme regarding some of the music I listen to. Let's ramble a bit through some thoughts on it
Hello, hi, how are ya. We're halfway through the year and I'm only now recording and releasing another podcast episode. WHOOPS. This one's my way of easing back into the grind of it all again and I hope you enjoy the episode.
Isekais are definitely a SUPER popular genre, and in this episode I'll ramble through and hopefully in a not entirely uncoherent way talk about some of my thoughts on why that seems to be the case
2024 is over, 2025 is here!!!!!
I didn't hit my goal of one episode a month but that's ok, we've learned some lessons along the way, and are gonna bring some ideas into 2025 that should set us up better for success.
If you've been part of the journey till now, thanks, let's do the 2025 well
I wasn’t feeling the best about content creation when I started recording this episode – you can skip past this if you want, I won't fault you. It’s a bit of a vent session about the ups and downs of staying motivated. By the end, though, I found a few reasons to keep going, and kind of got myself to a place where I feel more comfortable.
I try not to make many episodes like this because I my primary goal for podcast episodes is to take a central theme or idea and spin off of that. This episode wasn't really made with an outlined idea or theme in mind. Well, that's not accurate. It started off as my initial intro into an actual episode. But then became a rant. That I realized would end up being an entire recording in and of itself. That I re-recorded 6x.
In episodes like this, where the topic is focused on my own insecurities, my own struggles, and my own negativity, I at least want to end up with a level of positivity, or if not that, at least....neutrality. And I think I reached something like that here, with at least some level of authenticity.
Next Episode will be more on brand. This episode was still on brand, just a little less so than usual
HEY HI HELLO. I missed the May podcast upload, but the June podcast was not skipped!!!!!!
Today's also a bit of a special one, I've got a guest/friend joining me today talking about something that has definitely had a big impact and experience on both of us, Kingdom Hearts.
Hopefully you enjoy the episode, it was definitely a ton of fun for both of us to just go back on memory lane and remember easily one of our favorite series.
Also check out his work over at https://www.youtube.com/@travilopolis
This episode is late. But this episode was also kind of cathartic to record in the wake of the new of Akira Toriyama's death. I just wanted to ramble a bit about Akira Toriyama and the impact and legacy he had, and tie it a bit into our lives as well.
It's also a bit of a shorter one, so hopefully you give it a listen and I'll see you on the next one :D
Is it podcast time? It's podcast time. Again.
I was just thinking about some of my favorite animes and just some memories of the animes that I used to watch.
It's been a month since I watched The Boy and the Heron, AND IT SHOWS. We just gonna talk a little bit about Studio Ghibli's latest movie and what it meant to me.
If you watched it I wonder if my thoughts are similar to yours. Hopefully you enjoy the episode =D
WOW GUYS!!!
We made it through 2023. I hope your 2023 was awesome and that your 2024 will be even better.
This episode gonna just reflect a bit on my 2023, and a little bit about the future plans for my content in 2024. Thanks as always if you listen <3
I will try to not soapbox too much and keep this to how my podcast episodes normally go. Also this episode is super late and I have been super flaky this year when it comes to podcast episodes but I hope you forgive everything pls. Enjoy the episode <3 and hope your 2023 was amazing.
Yes it's been 3 months since I uploaded a random angsty podcast episode LOL.
This is super late but I wanted to at least finally just get my throughts out and randomly ramble about Lonely Castle in the Mirror, because it ended up being a much better movie than I imagined it would be going into it.
I promise I will try to do better about uploading TT_TT
This episode is an exception not the rule. But because I allow myself to be more transparent in podcast form than I usually am even in real life, I hope you forgive the rambling I do in this episode as I just sort of "vent" some of the negativity I've allowed myself to be thinking. If that's not your cup of tea, skip this episode, no harm no foul, I totally understand and get it.
And to remind you that it's O K to vent out negativity. Some of us are bottlers and if we have no place to vent, it will manifest in far worse ways so allow yourself the space to acknowledge if something's not right. Love you all, see you around <3
HELLO FRIENDS!!!! Ghiblifest is in full swing this year and also a movie that I've been SUPER excited to watch for a while is finally having it's US premiere. So let's talk a little bit about Studio Ghibli, my thoughts on what I think captures my attention and what about Studio Ghibli works that just "gets to me", and also draw some parallels to an animator/director that's been dubbed by many as "The next Hayao Miyazaki" in Shinkai Makoto.
I KNOW IT'S MARCH AND IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE THE LAST EPISODE. BUT HAPPY 2023 ALL, HOPE IT'S BEEN GOOD AND GETTING BETTER AND AMAZING.
Going to word ramble a bit since I've recently binged through 2 shows both on the concept and topic of Revenge. Talk a bit of my thoughts on the plot and also on the idea of revenge itself. Hope you enjoy the episode and may the next one come on time this time LOL.
HOOO BOY. This episode felt kinda personal to record. Was looking back through my podcast notes reminiscing about this year and realized this was sitting in my google doc but I never recorded it. Now's a good time, so let's talk a little bit <3.
HELLO HI FRIENDS. We're nearing the end of 2022. Gonna touch a bit on how this year was and my plans moving forward. How was your year? Let's talk about it
Hey Guys!!!!!! Long time no talk. We missed the September episode but October is here and so is another podcast episode. Just wanted to talk about something that really was on my mind this past week on the idea of perfection/comparing two things and forcing one to be good and therefore the other has to be bad/sucks.
LEMME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK <3 and as always stay awesome fam.
HEY GUYS. Episode's a little late but we here now <3. I was brainstorming/writing down thoughts/outlines for some other podcast episodes and was thinking about how some of my favorite animes, some of my favorite anime OPs/EDs are from things that aren't recent. That's not to say that there haven't been AMAZING things recently, just that I personally seem to put a LOT of weight behind nostalgia in my personal rankings/ratings in determining what my "favorites" are. Let's ramble a bit about it <3.
Hey Guys. Spring 2022 simulcast recently ended and had some great stuff to watch. Let's talk a bit about what I enjoyed =D.
ALRIGHT FIRST OFF, I AM A FLAKE FOR TAKING A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM SEPTEMBER TO APRIL, MAKING A PODCAST EPISODE ABOUT BEING SORRY ABOUT IT AND THEN SKIPPING MAY LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER.
Either way, I hope you've all been well <3. The simulcast season is in full swing on Crunchyroll so I wanted to take this episode to talk a little about what I've been enjoying this simulcast season, especially the stuff that didn't register on my radar that ended up being SUPER AMAZING. Let's talk about it a bit shall we??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?
