This episode begins with the eagerly anticipated arrival of the first medical school class in August 2013 and spans their four-year tenure at QU Netter. By the time orientation began for the inaugural class of 60 students, 24 faculty members had been hired to teach the pre-clerkship (years 1 & 2) curriculum. The first episode chronicles the genesis of the school and the years leading up to the matriculation of the first class in 2013. The startup phase of QU Netter spanned approximately four years and it was a busy and exciting few years. In the short span of a decade, Quinnipiac University launched the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine and graduated seven outstanding classes of new physicians.
