Bonus Episode - Enter... the Scarecrow!

In this special bonus episode, Justin covers the incredible Pirates of the Caribbean comic that happens to be a crossover with The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh. You'll learn about the priest named Dr. Syn, who becomes the terrifying smuggler known as the Scarecrow by night. Justin explains the background of the character and the Disney television series that aired in 1964. You'll also learn how this crossover comic came to be, thanks to artist Bret Blevins. And finally, Justin reads the comic in full, along with imitating (although badly) the Scarecrow's iconic voice and laugh!

In this episode, we finish the journey through The Price of Freedom by A.C. Crispin. The Wicked Wench finally arrives at Zerzura, with La Vipere in tow. Amenirdis and Shabako are finally home, and Jack prepares himself for the journey into the labyrinth. Together with Amenirdis and Christophe, the three of them venture inside, and face the numerous perils before reaching the Heart of Zerzura. After the Wicked Wench leaves Zerzura, Jack is visited by Christophe, now deposed as captain, and the two of them square off once and for all. Jack sails the Wicked Wench back to Calabar, and Cutler Beckett is outraged at Jack's report. So he seeks to humble Jack by having him transport a load of slaves to Lord Penwallow's plantation. Jack reluctantly accepts, but on the voyage, Jack knows he cannot do it. So he frees them, but is caught before he can get away. With Beckett outraged at losing his superior's respect, he sets out to punish Jack once and for all, with a brand of the letter "P" and the idea of setting Jack's beautiful Wench ablaze, all while having Jack watch.
