How to Help Kids Diffuse Fear-Based E-motions, with Jillie Maria

Kids are empaths naturally, meaning the subconsciously take on others' e-motions/energy as their own. And then, they often get overloaded and that looks like crankiness, sassing, irritability, name calling, acting out and disrespectful behavior, or a short attention span, among other things.

But...what if we could clear and release that energy intentionally and get back to joy?

The problem is kids don't typically understand what's happening, nor do they have language or feel safe being vulnerable enough to say what they need.

Join us for a conversation with Transformational Coach Jillie Maria to learn about energy in motion, how to ground and clear energy from your body, and how to release energy that isn’t yours.

How to Handle Your T(w)een Rejecting You, with Sonali Vongchusiri

It is commonly known that t(w)eens reject their parents. It is considered just one of those "hard truths" of parenting through the teen years that we parents just need to put up with.

I disagree. Yes, a teen does need to distinguish themselves as a separate being from their parent. Yes, they do try to do this by rejecting their parent, through isolating in their room, saying "Go Away!", eye-rolling, etc.

And, here's what I see - even when they reject the parent in this way, the teen is still not getting their need met. That's why the teen continues to reject, and why that wall goes up between you and your teen.

I'm going to share ways to take down that wall, brick by brick, by identifying and meeting your teen's (and your) core needs. And, I'll show you how to do this in a way that will have you and your teen in belly laughs. It's possible. Actually.

Join us for a conversation with Sonali Vongchusiri as we explore why t(w)eens reject parents so relentlessly, how to respond instead of just saying ‘you’re being rude,’ and learn how to dismantle the growing wall, one brick at a time.

How to Recognize & Support Teen Athlete Overwhelm, with Beth Jones

Students experience more stress than ever. They are participating in elite-level sports and competing for limited spots for post-secondary play, enrolled in high-level academic courses for college admission; navigating puberty & a changing body, juggling a full social schedule, attending to family needs, and more.

The Athlete-Mindset continues this need to stay over-scheduled due to perfectionism and mental toughness. It is both their strength and their kryptonite.

Unfortunately, this can lead to depression and other mental wellness concerns, physical illness and injury, and burnout. And if burnout hits, it can lead them to discontinue sports participation, and many will struggle to return to any fitness outlet in the future.

Join us for a conversation with Beth Jones as we chat about the signs of overwhelm and burnout, how to help your t(w)een yourself and when to seek outside support, as well as how to help your teen develop an identity outside of sport.

How to Raise Your Child to Be a Math Person, Even if You Aren’t, with Suzanne Sampson

Most people decided early on in their school career whether or not they were a math person.

Recent studies show that math anxiety, on average, develops around the 3rd grade and usually sticks around throughout the school years and into adulthood.

For parents who’ve struggled with math in the past, figuring out how to help their child who struggles adds another layer of stress and uncertainty to the equation.

The good news? The latest brain research has shown that there’s no such thing as a math person.

Everyone is capable of learning math, even advanced math.

Sometimes a tutor is still needed when there are really big gaps in knowledge.

Many times, though, children and adults can become successful in math by shifting their mindset, managing their emotions, and learning how to keep going even when the math feels too hard.

How to Empower Teens as Leaders, with Elisabeth Stitt

Whether or not our teens are leaders out in the world, we want them to be leaders in their own lives.

Being a leader in your own life means developing clarity about what you want, developing self-confidence about your ability to get that, and being able to advocate for yourself.

Once teens are able to do that, it is a natural next step that they will attract others to join them in their vision.

That's leadership!

Whether it shows up in the classroom, on the sports field, or by starting a new club, by living their own life fully, these teens will be an inspiring example to the people around them.
