Martijn has really captured overlanding in it's amazing simplest form by giving back for his keep. This chat dropped my jaw a little. A real Russian that changed his vehicle so much he fitted Tractor tyres. removes snakes and frogs from his vehicle when getting bogged. Russian mapping is great and he uses a proper system to get it done and make sure they know what they're able to do.

The difference between the options each app brings from Google maps, tracks4africa, maps.me and all the others. Then we touch base on vehicles Paul owned and what brings them to life, Lastly I find out he's building a 80 series and using his knowledge from previous builds and suppliers from when he loved lived in the UK.
This is a great young story. I say that because they set out with little and got maximum out of it. Paper maps, didn't know how to overland and got stuck in Congo for over 60 days due to the virus. Welcome to the first Podcast from Latin America. Meet Elias a well travelled, easy going, travels with his Boston terrier Kiwi and Coco type of guy. I really enjoyed this and completely in aw of the areas you've managed to get through. Forced to drive from Venezuela because of the violence and went home to Chile through Bolivia and completely loved it (much I would). Fishing before he was a teenager and stuck with what his father taught him - love it bud.

I was honoured to have Dot as my first Overland from home guest. Wonderful laughs and so many stories going through each country. "deigned" her tailor made van into areas we would believe needed 4x4 only. We are all wrong. Dot Happily took on challenges because she's happy to be African and heading to her home country. Goes to show, what you put in is what you get out.

This ended up having a bunch of great surprises. A family of two use a 95L Waeco. “If it rains you’re stuck for 12hrs” and a standard family convoy of 6 vehicles (before sending out invites).
