Grace. Generosity. Gratitude. What happens when you put your money — and your heart — in God’s hands? Today we're looking at a life-changing truth from pastor and author Tim Keller: “There can be no significant spiritual growth in your life unless you put your money and your attitude toward money in God’s hands.” That's super challenging but this sermon will help you see giving not as an obligation but as an overflow of grace and gratitude. Today's scripture, Corinthians 9:8–11, shows how: • God’s grace motivates us to give • Our generosity impacts lives for eternity • Our gratitude turns blessings into worship This message is part of our TOGETHER Refresh Initiative, where our church family is stepping forward in faith to expand our capacity to reach the Roanoke Valley and beyond with the Gospel. This isn't about guilt or obligation—it's about freedom, joy, and understanding that everything we have flows from God's generosity. Whether you're new to faith or have been walking with Christ for decades, this message will challenge you to examine your relationship with money and discover the abundant life God designed for generous givers. TOGETHER REFRESH: The Cheerful Giver
Are you a cheerful giver? Do you ever feel anxious about giving money to the church or a charity? You’re not alone. We’re often tempted to hold onto our finances, thinking, "I need to save more," or "What if I run out?" We’ll unpack the profound truth of sowing and reaping — not just with our money, but with our time, energy, and love. We'll see that giving is not about an amount and why a mindset of generosity transforms your heart. God’s grace and abundance make it possible to live open-handedly. TOGETHER REFRESH: The God Factor
What if generosity wasn’t about how much you have — but Who has your heart? Can you believe it's been a year since we started our Together Initiative to fulfill the vision God gave Orchard Hills Church to expand our reach, deepen our faith, and live out radical generosity. We have another year to go to reach our goals so this week we are kicking off a Together Initiative Refresh over the next five week with a focus on 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9. Focusing on 2 Corinthians 8:1–5 today, we see how the Macedonian churches who, even in extreme poverty, begged for the chance to give. Why? Because they had experienced the transforming power of God’s grace. We're reminded that true generosity isn’t a formula of wealth and abundance — it’s the supernatural equation only God can create: Overflowing joy + extreme poverty = rich generosity None of us desire extreme poverty. Extreme poverty is not good. But, if you combine extreme poverty with a relationship with God you begin to see God as your provider and your absolute dependence on Him. You become more thankful for the simplest of things that we, who have so much, often take for granted. This TOGETHER INITIATIVE is about more than a building. It’s about how we give ourselves first to God and then to others. It’s about using the time, talent, and treasures that God has entrusted to us for His eternal purposes. It’s about us becoming more like those Macedonian Christians. Scripture List 2 Corinthians 8.1–5 Acts 2.42-47 Mark 12.30-31

The Book of Jude: Jude's Doxology
Is Jesus too good to be true? He promises to to take all our faults and blame, but is there a catch? Watch now to find out what it is and be reminded of the greatness of our God! We’ve reached the end of our series in Jude—and what a journey it’s been! Jude has warned us about false teachers, challenged us to stay faithful, and encouraged us to confront with care. But he closes with one of the most powerful doxologies in Scripture—*a reminder* of God’s power, His glory, and His unmatched ability to preserve us, present us blameless, and give us eternal hope. Jude 24–25 shows us why we can trust God completely, even in a world filled with chaos, conflict, and discouragement. Instead of withdrawing in fear, Jude calls us to lift our eyes and rejoice because of who God is. If you’ve been feeling weighed down by the brokenness of our world — wars, division, violence, and discord — this message will lift your heart and remind you of the greatness of our God. Don’t miss this encouraging reminder that God is worthy of all glory, majesty, power, and authority—yesterday, today, and forevermore! Scripture List: Jude 24-25 1 Timothy 2.5-6a 2 Corinthians 5.10

The Book of Jude: Caring Enough to Confront
Confrontation It's the most UNCOMFORTABLE thing Jesus asks christians to do but it's so important, it's actually the most LOVING thing you can do. If you've ever watched a friend make a destructive choice and stayed silent because you didn't know what to say? You're not alone. Confrontation feels awkward, judgmental, and just plain hard. We're afraid of ruining a friendship or being seen as a "holier-than-thou" Christian. On the other hand, a "come as you are" message without a call to change can become cheap grace. So, where's the balance? How do we speak the truth in a way that is full of grace? In this message from Jude 22-23, we find the biblical balance between grace and truth - learning to "care enough to confront" while also "confronting in a caring way." This isn't about being the church police or enabling sin through cheap grace - it's about loving people enough to have the hard conversations and loving enough to pull each other back from the fire. Jude challenges us to be active*, *intentional*, and *daily in building our faith. In verses 20-21 he gives a clear game plan for staying in God's love: •Build up our faith* •Pray in the Holy Spirit* •Actively and expectantly wait for Jesus* This isn’t something we do once a week for an hour or two on Sunday. Jude is calling us to a DAILY way of life that transforms everything. Are you ready to take your faith to the next level? Don’t forget to like , subscribe , and share this message to encourage others to live on offense with the love of God. The Book of Jude: Remember to Be Careful
⚠️ Are you protecting your faith? In Jude 17–19, we are reminded to remember what Jesus warned us about. That we need to protect our faith from the danger of being led away from God by lies, deception, and false teaching. In this message we dig into this sobering warning in Jude and see how it applies to our daily lives: How To Recognize Spiritual Danger Jude tells us there will be people who make fun of God’s truth, live for their own desires, divide others, and are not led by the Spirit. These voices may come through culture, media, relationships, or even within the church. How can we identify them? How To Remember the Word The only way to recognize a lie is to know the truth. Jude calls us back to the words of the apostles—preserved for us in Scripture. We can’t “remember” what we don’t first know. Practical Steps for Everyday Faith • Establish a rhythm of opening God’s Word in your home. • Commit to Scripture memory—individually or as a family. • Pay attention to what voices are shaping your worldview—friends, coworkers, media, music, or social feeds. Friends, the Christian life is not lived on autopilot. There is a battle for your soul. But God has given us His Word and His Spirit so we can stand firm, recognize deception, and cling to the truth. If you want to strengthen your faith, guard your heart, and lead your family in the way of Jesus, this sermon will encourage and equip you to stay careful, stay grounded, and stay faithful. The Book of Jude: Stop the Grumbling
Are you a grumbler… or an encourager? In Jude 16, we’re warned about people who creep into the church with destructive attitudes—grumblers, fault finders, sin seekers, and smooth talkers. Left unchecked, these habits don’t just poison our own hearts… they spread, divide, and destroy communities. This 2,000 year old warning has never been more relevant than today. In this message we look at a better way: being encouragers, way makers, freedom finders, and Bible teachers. We're reminded that contentment is found in Christ alone, and His Spirit—not our words—has the power to change lives. If you’ve ever struggled with negativity, discontentment, or chasing fulfillment in the wrong places, this message is for you. Let’s stop the grumbling and start encouraging. Which of the four traits do you find most challenging? Share your thoughts in the comments below! Scripture List: Jude 14–16 Philippians 4.10–13 1 Corinthians 1.31 1 Corinthians 2.1–5 Isaiah 55.11

The Book of Jude: God Will Judge
"Only God can judge me." We've all heard it, maybe even said it. It's used as a shield to deflect criticism. But what if that phrase isn't the comfort we think it is? What if the reality of God's judgment is the most sobering and terrifying truth in the universe? In this message, we continue our study through the book of Jude with a sobering reminder: God will judge! From the ancient prophecy of Enoch to the words of Jesus and Paul, the Bible makes it clear that a day is coming when God will set everything right. But here’s the good news: because of Jesus, judgment doesn’t have to be the end of your story—it can be the beginning of eternal life. The Bible is clear: a day of reckoning is coming for everyone. But it's also clear there is one, and only one, way to find refuge. This is not a message of condemnation, but a desperate and loving plea to run to the only One who can save you from the judgment you deserve. The Book of Jude: Don't Be One of These People
What if the greatest danger to your faith isn't outside the church… but sitting right next to you? In Jude 12--13, God gives six vivid warnings about people who secretly slip into the church, look spiritual on the outside, but leave destruction in their wake. They're like hidden reefs, selfish shepherds, waterless clouds, fruitless trees, wild waves, and wandering stars -- and if we're not careful, we can become just like them. In this message from our study in Jude, you'll discover: How to recognize false teachers and dangerous influences in your life The spiritual "red flags" every believer should watch for How to anchor your life so you don't drift into deception Practical steps to live, love, and lead like Jesus every day This is more than a warning -- it's an encouragement to examine your own heart, guard your faith, and stay rooted in the truth of God's Word. The Book of Jude: The Rebellion of Korah
Is your ambition leading you closer to God... or toward disaster? The Bible tells a shocking story of a man named Korah whose ambition led to him and his followers being literally swallowed by the earth. It's a terrifying and sober warning about a sin we are all susceptible to: rebellion born from pride. We dive deep into the story of Korah's Rebellion from Numbers 16, one of the most dramatic divine judgments in the Old Testament. Jude uses this historical event as a critical warning for the church today, and it's a message we can't afford to ignore. If we're not careful, the same spirit of discontentment, comparison, and selfish ambition that destroyed Korah can slip into our hearts, our homes, and our churches. In this message, you will learn: - The 3 fatal mistakes Korah made that we still make today. - The dangerous link between comparison, discontentment, and pride. - What the Bible really says about submitting to authority If this message blessed you, please LIKE the video, SUBSCRIBE to the channel, and hit the BELL icon so you never miss a study. The Book of Jude: The Error of Balaam
A talking donkey (yes really), a greedy prophet, and a deadly trap... It’s not a movie plot; it’s one of the most critical warnings in the Bible for the church today. Ever wonder if it's possible to be "spiritual" and even hear from God, but still be completely on the wrong path? The story of Balaam in the Old Testament is a chilling example. Jude warns us in Jude 1:11, “Woe to them! For they have... plunged into Balaam’s error for profit.” In this sermon, we take a deep dive into the second warning of Jude 11: The Error of Balaam. We'll unpack the wild story from the book of Numbers and expose the four critical mistakes Balaam made—mistakes that false teachers and even well-meaning Christians are still making today. Join us as we uncover: ➡️ How to tell the difference between being "spiritual" and being truly Spirit-filled. ➡️ The seductive danger of using God's gifts for personal gain (the "prophet for profit" scheme). ➡️ How one person's compromise can lead thousands into sin, especially sexual sin. ➡️ The fatal pride of thinking you can get away with hidden sin. This isn't just an ancient story. It’s a roadmap for protecting your faith and recognizing deceptive influences in our modern world of "Christian influencers" and prosperity gospels. Don't fall for the Error of Balaam. What was the most surprising part of Balaam's story for you? Let us know in the comments! Scripture List: Jude 11 Numbers 22–31

The Book of Jude: The Way of Cain
Are you giving God your best… or just your leftovers? What if one ancient story could explain why so many people drift from faith, ignore God’s authority, and even harm others along the way? In this message, we dive deep into Jude 11 to uncover what the Bible calls “The Way of Cain”—a tragic pattern of faithlessness, pride, rebellion, and fear that still plays out in hearts today. Cain didn’t just bring the wrong offering—he revealed a heart that was dangerously off course. And if we’re honest, we’ve all walked that path at some point. But the good news? There’s a better way through Jesus. In this week’s message, you’ll learn: • What “The Way of Cain” really means • Why God accepted Abel’s offering but rejected Cain’s • How jealousy, anger, and fear grow when faith is absent • Practical ways to resist sin “crouching at your door” • How to offer God your first and best, not your leftovers This is part 1 of our 3-part deep dive into Jude 11: • Part 1: The Way of Cain • Part 2: The Error of Balaam • Part 3: The Rebellion of Korah Whether you’re a skeptic, a seeker, or a seasoned believer, this message will challenge you to check your motives, examine your heart, and anchor your faith where it truly belongs. The Book of Jude: Know Your Place
Today we look at one of the wildest passages in the New Testament (Jude 8–10) where we meet the Archangel Michael locked in a supernatural dispute with the devil himself over the body of Moses. Why would God include this strange story in the Bible? Because your place in God’s story matters more than you think. You’ve been born into a cosmic battle between good and evil—and whether you know it or not, you’re in the middle of it. In this message, you’ll learn: - What it means to “know your place” in the spiritual war - Why many today mock or ignore the spiritual realm - How fake Christianity is exposed by instinct over obedience - Why humility and confidence are both required in spiritual warfare - What it means to walk in the authority of Christ, not your own If you’ve ever felt spiritually apathetic, confused, or intimidated—this message will wake you up and equip you with clarity and courage. The Book of Jude: Discerning not Deceived
Ever ignored a warning and instantly regretted it? What if I told you that three groups of people in the Bible made the same mistake - and their stories are meant to warn US today? In this powerful message, we dive deep into Jude 1:5-7 to uncover three sobering examples of what happens when God's warnings go unheeded: - The Israelites who wandered 40 years in the wilderness - The angels who abandoned their heavenly positions - Sodom and Gomorrah's fiery destruction But here's the thing - this isn't just about God's justice (though that's real). It's about His incredible love and the lengths He goes to protect us from ourselves. Scripture List: Jude 1.5–7 Genesis 6.4

The Book of Jude: Guard the Faith
Could fake faith be leading you away from Jesus? Jude warned the early church about his, and it’s just as urgent today. In today's message we're opening up the powerful, short letter of Jude. He wrote this letter to sound the alarm for believers to guard the precious faith God has entrusted to us. Get ready to uncover the absolute centrality of Jesus Christ as "the way, the truth, and the life". We'll expose the "genuine fake" imitations that try to twist God's truth, just like those tricky shops in Ephesus! You'll also learn to spot the "wolves in sheep's clothing" that Jude warns us about – those who secretly slip into the church, perverting God's grace and denying Jesus as Lord. We'll use the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood to illustrate this vital spiritual danger. Whether you’re a parent trying to raise kids in truth, a young adult wrestling with cultural messages, or a longtime believer needing clarity — this message will equip you to stand firm, spot the fake, and cling to what’s real. Jonah & Jesus
Who is Jesus? Who is He to you? Nothing is more important than answering that question. In this message, we explore how Jesus uses the story of Jonah to reveal His true identity as Savior, Judge, and King. We don’t often talk about Jesus as Judge — it makes us uncomfortable — but Jesus talked about it often. Friends, this isn’t just theology — this is your eternity. If you have a big test coming, don’t you want to be prepared? If you’ve got a deadline at work, don’t you want time to get ready? And if there’s a day of judgment coming, don’t you want to be ready to face the Judge — confident in your position before Him? In this sermon from Matthew 12:38-42, we explore the character of God as revealed in the person of Jesus. You’ll discover how you can be prepared to stand before Him. He is just. He is impartial. Every sin will be punished. And yet, He invites us to run to Him for refuge — confessing our sin, turning from it, and placing our faith and hope in Him. Whether you’re skeptical, searching, or already following Jesus, this message will challenge you to wrestle with the most important question of your life. Is is Good For You To Be Angry?
You can’t love like Jesus if you’re stuck in Jonah’s mindset. If you’re angry at the world (or at God), this story might change you. In this convicting sermon, we dive into Jonah chapter 4, where the rebellious prophet throws a spiritual temper tantrum because God showed mercy instead of judgment. What happens when we get mad at God’s grace? What does our anger reveal about our hearts, our priorities, and our view of others? This isn't just another Bible story - it's a mirror that reveals how our misplaced anger destroys relationships, warps our priorities, and keeps us from experiencing God's grace. If you’re wrestling with bitterness or wondering why God is patient with “those people,” this sermon is for you. Scripture List: Jonah 3.10 - 4.11 James 1.20 Ephesians 4.31-32

Grace. Generosity.
