OpenAIRE Graph Community Calls: graph.openaire.eu/community-calls
The OpenAIRE Graph is and has been instrumental in not only supplying OpenAIRE services with vital information, but also in shaping the Open Science landscape throughout Europe and beyond. However, navigating this vast knowledge graph and its implications can sometimes be challenging. Join us in these next few episodes where we break down the OpenAIRE Graph in a miniseries aimed at helping all actors in the research community better understand it and its uses. In this first episode, OpenAIRE CEO, Natalia Manola, gives us a concise overview of the Graph and the role it continues to play in EOSC.

OpenAIRE Graph Community Calls: graph.openaire.eu/community-calls
The CEO of OpenAIRE is invited to briefly present OpenAIRE, its history, and what it offers to the Open Science community. The evolvement of OpenAIRE from being a project to becoming a non-for-profit entity is discussed. Therefore, the conversation moves to the evolvement of the organisation OpenAIRE, its services, and sustainability. How does OpenAIRE approaches the challenge that all Open Science services providers, research infrastructures and organisations actively working on Open Science, face? How does OpenAIRE align with the EC guidelines on Open Science and the need to explore business models and revenues streams for its services. Is OpenAIRE going to charge everyone that will use its services? What are the first thoughts and steps taken towards a sustainable OpenAIRE? What is the role of the OpenAIRE network?
Lastly, what is EOSC and the position of OpenAIRE within EOSC. What are the EOSC Core services provided by OpenAIRE?
The interview closes with a wish! Happy birthday OpenAIRE!

Join us for valuable insights and thought-provoking discussions on managing research data within the realm of Open Science.
Effective Research Data Management is the cornerstone of research not only for researchers but for funders and institutions as well. Due to national and European standards, development and delivery of a Data Management Plan (DMP) at the very start of a project or at times even before the project starts is essential (or even mandatory in some case, e.g., Horizon Europe funded projects) for all research input and output. In this episode, our training experts Venkat and Jonathan provide insights on why DMPs are crucial steps in the research lifecycle while Elli, Argos’s service Manager, explains how OpenAIRE tools and services can support researchers and research support staff to write and deliver effective DMPs and how, ultimately, funders and research performing organisations can benefits from its adoption.
In today's scientific workflow, one of the key ways to unlock the full potential of research is by archiving publications, data, software, and other research outputs in dedicated infrastructures known as "repositories." In this episode, we explore the benefits of depositing your work in a repository, and how this practice can become a crucial pillar of support for Open Science.
To give us a comprehensive overview of this topic, we have invited Andreas Czerniak and Pedro Principe, who provide insights into the OpenAIRE Guidelines and the OpenAIRE Provide service. Additionally, Kathleen Shearer offers her expertise on the global repository landscape.
In this episode, we invite three seasoned experts, Elena Giglia, Raphael Tournoy and Andreas Czerniak, to explore what it means to publish Open Access and which tools can be used to this end. We clarify what the Article Processing Charges (APCs) are and how this cost can be monitored at the institutional level, particularly for libraries, and funders by using the OpenAPC service. We explore various publication models of academic journals and inform researchers about key aspects they should be aware of, such as Open Access Models and new developments in scholarly publishing, by using Episciences.
Open Science is a multifaceted term that encompasses various research practices. It involves more than just publishing a manuscript or making data available. In this episode, Paolo Manghi and Pedro Principe will provide insights into OpenAIRE's flagship service, the Graph. Find out what makes OpenAIRE Graph so unique, and how you can use it to unlock the power of open science data and enter a world full of opportunities.
Ten years ago, OpenAIRE began its journey towards facilitating scholarly communication in an open and transparent manner. Today, it has become a leading organisation in promoting Open Science in Europe and beyond. If you're curious about the people behind the scenes of this, then do not miss this episode. Inge Van Nieuwerburgh and Eloy Rodrigues, two experts in this field, will be taking the stage to shed light on the human network that powers the Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe. Get ready to learn about the dedicated team working tirelessly to ensure that scientific research is accessible to everyone.
