On the heels of the recent debut of How I Met Your Father and the unfortunate passing of comedian and actor Bob Saget, Jay Rando and Rodi go "old school" and reprise the HIMYM reflection. Rodi chose Season 3 Ep. 5 "How I Met Everyone Else" to reflect on, where the duo discusses the dynamics that make this episode a standout. The central idea of this recording is to question the validity of the narrator based on the memory and misinformation provided in throughout the episode.

*Season 1 will be transferred to this Channel Soon (Currently on 3RG Podcast)*
**Re-edited Version of the Original Podcast**
For a brief time there was a hidden 3RG Podcast episode in place of this one, not on purpose but oddly coincidental. Fun fact, Jay Rando had the "Leonard Cohen" effect putting out this very episode but put in the hard work to update it to have a modern tinge to what the more recent podcasts sound and feel like. Enjoy the remastered version of an episode that redefined a turning point in the podcasters' approach to the show going forward. It may not be the "perfect" episode, but this example applies some of the very points Jay Rando and Rodi were making throughout the podcast.
Oh! And what DOES Rodi think of Rando's glasses? The answer may be discovered at the 2-hour mark in the post episode clips.
Episode Description:
This 2-hour episode plays with morals, ethics, the concept of perfection and all of the fun philosophy stuff you slept through. In Rando's opinion, Rodi was the star of this episode bringing some great points and counter questions/arguments that helps us to see perfection in a new light. The two keep going back to the word perfection throughout the podcast but take multiple roads to try to clarify what the word actually is. Before we get to the major question of "If YOU have the formula to the perfect life, would you take it?" we have to know what that truly implies. Have some fun tracking this conversation down the rabbit holes it goes and see if you have anything to add to the namesake title of the episode.
As you drop by for a little R&R today, please know that this a flipped episode where Rodi delivers the thought provoking questions. In the best over-analyzation podcast there ever was, the two go in depth with their first impressions of the Simpsons, their perspectives on the prediction claims, the difference between stereotyping and satire, specific character deep dives, their thoughts on the longevity of the of the show and more! Without any further ado, let's embiggen your knowledge of the Simpsons and entertain you :)
Drop by for a little R&R where Rando and Rodi talk shop about Season 2 Episode 15 Lucky Penny. In their usual fashion, they break down different elements of the show and extrapolate some "real life" scenarios within the episode. They play with concepts such as philosophy, character dynamics, relationships, the blame game and much more.
In this episode of OTB, Rando and Rodi talk about arguments. It appears there has been a lot of conflict as of late and these two podcasters dare to speculate why people argue, the types of arguments, the difference between arguments and debates, as well as contention in politics and religion. The temperature slowly rises with the topics these two dare to take on, however these topics were brought up with respect to all beliefs (we hope!). There is a reason why only few do it...
Question from the Podcast: How often are we actually successful in changing someone's opinion?
Next Episode: If You Had the Mathematical Calculation for Life...
Rodi and Jay Rando refuse to talk about the pandemic in this episode! However, if they were to talk about it, they would have a few points to make about some perspectives that you, the listener, may not have thought of. Additionally, in this hypothetical situation that we were talking about a pandemic in this episode, it won't be about how you can prevent catching the virus, we save that one for literally everyone else. Enjoy, what we consider to be our best episode yet!
This episode was recorded back in August but hasn't been released until October of 2020. This episode talks about cocktails, beer (mostly cocktails though) and some unique perspectives on the art of alcoholism. You just have to listen to find out what we mean... Oh yeah! Most importantly we feature our newest member of the random family, Incognita!
