Over the last 12 or so years Entrepreneurship has become a really trendy thing, I would say it's the equivalent of smoking in the 90's, "I only smoke when I'm drinking" has now become, "Yea bro, I gots like 7 side hustles...you still in that 9-5 brah. Do you even blog?"
The problem with this for us full time entrepreneurs is that it's really really irritating. The problem is that every Tom, Dick and/or Harry are now entrepreneurs but I know that when the going gets tough, the not so tough will go back to their day job.
I think it's time for us business owners to stop just talking about our successes and start telling people that this whole thing of running a business and trying to create wealth from nothing but your ideas and the execution you run with from that idea, is possibly the most difficult thing you will do in your life.
I get up at 4:30 am every morning but I don't check my email or phone messages until at least 8 am, the reason I do this is that I can use that time to set up my day, do my exercise and plan out what I want to achieve that day. That way when I check these messages, someone else' problem is exactly that, they're problem and if it doesn't fit with my day's narrative I am much better equipped to deal with that situation in a calm, but more importantly, controlling manner.
It's not a surprise that most people hate Mondays because it's usually a day where you are slammed with issues and problems to start the week and face the realities of the stress you left behind on Friday once again.
