原來這個詞，是2022 年才被收錄進《牛津英語詞典》的新單字呢！
doctor shopping= 到處求醫、把看醫生當逛街
有些人沒事就到處去醫院看診拿藥，把看醫生當逛街，這種行為就可以稱做 doctor shopping。
猜猜看被別人形容成chocolate teapot是褒還貶?
巧克力茶壺? 想想看巧克力怎麼能做茶壺，承受熱水的煮呢？
因此他就是轉彎罵人說：你太廢啦...
其實類似的說法還有wooden frying pan 木頭煎鍋
木頭當作鍋子用，應該會燒起來吧，所以這說法其實就是偷偷罵人哩~
那猜猜看white elephant 白象是甚麼呢?
原來他就是指 華而不實的東西，看起來華麗但是不實用
有趣的是，國外很多人家外面會有個white elephant sale (白象拍賣會，把家中無用東西清出來的 ...) 就是在拍賣可能自己用不到，看起來好看，或許喜歡的人就可以找到物品的主人買下來唷~
口語要表示東西沒有用了，可以說

➡️中文狗狗汪汪叫，英文則是用woof
➡️貓咪喵喵叫 meow
➡️purr 貓咪呼嚕呼嚕叫

➡️小鳥咭咭叫，在美國 就變成ㄌtweet tweet 或是chirp. Birds go tweet/chirp. chirp 除了可以是鳥的唧唧聲，也可以是「蟬鳴」或是其他小蟲發出的唧唧。
➡️tweet除ㄌ有鳥叫聲， 由於「推特」(Twitter) 的流行，而多了兩個字義：在推特發文的動作、與發出的短文都稱作 tweet唷~
➡️oink 小豬豬 ㄍㄡˊㄍㄡˊ叫~
➡️羊咩咩 叫聲 baa baa (你沒聽錯，很像爸爸~~)
➡️老鼠吱吱叫 Mice go squeak.
➡️squeak 特別指的是很高很尖的聲音，除了老鼠的吱吱叫之外，像是門有時候會發出的唧唧聲、或是人發出的叫聲也可以用 squeak
➡️蛇的叫聲 嘶嘶Snakes go hiss.
Hiss 除了是蛇發出來的聲音，也可以指人小聲但生氣地說
➡️青蛙呱呱叫 ribbit.
Frogs go ribbit.
➡️提到呱呱叫，鴨子呱呱叫要用quack
➡️最有趣的動物聲...貓頭鷹叫~~
Owls go hoot/twit twoo.
貓頭鷹的叫聲通常用 hoot 或是 twit twoo 。
twit 是公貓頭鷹，而 twoo 是母貓頭鷹的聲音。
因此 twit twoo 就是指兩隻貓頭鷹在對話。超有趣~

Lucy: (shakes head) No. My dog Max is sick. He’s at the vet.
Sarah: Oh no! I’m so sorry. That’s really sad.
Do you want to talk about it?
Lucy: (quietly) I’m scared. I love Max so much. I don’t want him to stay sick.
Sarah: I understand. It’s okay to feel sad.
Max is strong. The vet will help him.
Lucy: (smiles a little) Thank you, Sarah. Talking helps.
(Scene: After school)
(Sarah walks to Lucy and gives her a card.)
Sarah: Here, I made this for you. It says, “Max will get better soon!”
Lucy: (smiling) Thank you! You are a good friend.
(Narrator):
Lucy felt better. A few days later, Max came home — happy and healthy!
Lucy was so happy and said thank you to Sarah.
Moral:
It’s good to share our feelings. Friends can help us feel better.

Let's Learn About National Education Radio
(Scene: A school classroom. The teacher is talking with the students.)
Teacher: When was the last time you listened to the radio?
Student 1: I listened in the car!
Student 2: I listened before bed!
Student 3: I don’t remember…
Teacher: That’s okay! Today, we will learn about a special radio station. It is called National Education Radio — or NER.
Student 1: Where is it?
Teacher: It is in Nanhai Park (南海園區). Many people go there to walk and exercise.
Student 2: What does the building look like?
Teacher: The NER building looks like an old Chinese palace. It has red columns and a green roof. It is a very beautiful place in Taipei.
Student 3: When did it start?
Teacher: NER started in 1960. It is part of the MOE (教育部) — the Ministry of Education.
Student 1: Why was it made?
Teacher: At first, it helped students and teachers. Now, it does more things!
Student 2: Like what?
Teacher: NER shares news about culture and education. It answers questions. It gives good ideas and helps people learn.
Student 3: Does it have fun programs?
Teacher: Yes! It has many great programs. They also won the Golden Bell Awards. (金鐘獎)
Student 1: Wow! That’s cool!
Teacher: There is also a fun place called the Sound Story Studio (聲音故事館).
Student 2: What can we do there?
Teacher: You can see old photos, play games, and make your own recording!
All Students: Wow! Can we go visit?

Kid 1: Wow, Omar is really good!
Kid 2: Go, Omar! Great goal!

Alex: You’re really good at soccer!
Omar: Thank you. I was scared. I thought no one would talk to me.
