Theo first met Mike from The Outlourdes at a Zero Survive show while being introduced by members of Hallucivore. I love it when old favorites release new albums. This month it's Obsidian Tongue, and Theo made Brendan Hayter do an interview in his car (it actually worked out pretty well). Fate leads us to weird places and symphonic death metal dreams. Theo's new friend Dan Saillant is in a lot of bands, and Annihilus Mundi ended up getting a slot opening for the legendary Septicflesh! In two weeks (posted February 12th, 2025), the little gothic death metal solo act that could gets a full lineup and goes on the biggest stage of their careers so far. Theo finally read the small print on a poster and went for another behind-the-scenes look at booking music shows, this time with Jim Burden of Abaddon Booking. We interview Zack Roberts from Walpole-based death/thrash band Maidenhead. It mostly became talk about upcoming shows, but there's a bit about the need to do good even with the dark music we got.

Theo reflects on the ongoing controversy behind Linkin Park replacing Chester Bennington, which might be out of her wheelhouse, but bands have weathered tragedies before. Some retire, some move on, some use the pain to create once-in-a-generation art that leaves you crying in your car. All this and some concert reviews too!
