This was much fun to record, and although it's not for me to say that it is a "must" listen, it is! Especially if you havent yet started to tackle dealing with or submitting your responses to the UK Government's consultation on LAFRA 2024 (see the link below).

My old friend Jeff talks to me about his experiences as a RMC Director, the ups, downs, highs and lows as he splits his tenure into 4 stages. First as a shareholder only then as Secretary,
Board Member and then sole director. All the while, I tried to resist the urge to just ask him "Why did you do it?".
There will be lots in here that resonate with other people.
In this episode I speak to Mark Packwood, a Property Management Industry veteran about how things were done when he started in the industry some 40 years ago.
Mark lives in Brighton, and even the seagulls join us briefly!
In this episode, I talk with Emma about what was behind her decision to go from the a safe and secure career working for managing agents to going it alone and working for herself with managing agents!
In this episode, I go it alone. If I thought that having a conversation with someone else was challenging, it's a breeze compared with talking to myself.
Anyway, never one to shirk from a challenge, I did it, and I added some theme music.
Let me know what you think.

No, I haven't raised an epic athlete from the dead, but it was a tenuous link to going the extra mile. I used to live near Roger Bannister Sports Centre in Harrow, refereed a few football matches there, and his feat of running the first sub 4 minute mile has always intrigued me.
Emma Bush, Roger Hardwick and I meander through many topics in relation to Property Management whilst trying to to keep on track talking about education in the sector!
Perhaps I should have called this episode, 2 for the price of 1.
Kamal and I start to get under the bonnet of reserve funds.
This is the one where I start to feel my way, look out for what I need to do in the future, get a hint of some of the pitfalls and have a great conversation with my friend Kamal Soussi!
