One of the greatest things I've learned to do is to live in acceptance, although I've had a very difficult time actually implementing this in my life. I think it's important for me to be honest, with you and with myself, about what's going on and why I've had a hard time lately. But, just because things are hard, doesn't mean they're impossible. This episode I talk about living in loathing and living in acceptance, as well as how suffocating it can be to place unreasonable expectations on yourself when you're struggling with acceptance.
As mentioned in the episode, uploading twice a month is a goal but not a promise. Thank you for your continued love and support. I hope we can talk soon. <3
Not to be dramatic, but it has felt like forever since I sat down and talked to you all! Catch up with me about what's been going on, reflect on some holiday memories and others, and the latest drama between my cat, Meredith, and my family cat, Bella. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Welcome back! This week we're discussing impostor syndrome and graduate school. We cover a lot of things, including feeling unqualified, like you don't belong, that you shouldn't be where you are, and how the pandemic has really f*cked things up. TL;DR: take care of yourself, remember to eat/sleep/bathe, all of the true self-care things. Stay safe out there!
It's our first official episode! Please excuse my overwhelming excitement that leads to a chaotic episode. I talk about mental illness, Meredith, moving and starting graduate school during a pandemic, a recent trip to the grocery store, what I envision for the podcast, and much more. It's a little bit of everything and I hope one day soon I'll be able to dive into more detail with each topic. I hope you enjoy!
First impressions are everything, and I hope I made a good one on you! An introduction to lovely girl, sh*t world - get to know a little bit about me, what I like to talk about, what you can expect... There's more to come and I'm excited to share it with you! Thank you all for being here and giving this a chance. See you soon!
