Breadcrumbing. What a funny name, but it is an apt fit for the topic of discussion on the latest episode from Lost in Love. With online dating being the norm of how we find love, we are learning new terminology for behaviours and situations that have been going on for decades (just ask Carrie and BIG). Do you like someone who puts in the minimal amount of effort with you? Do they only talk to you at night time or around their schedule? It is March 2024, and here we are with an explosive episode on Dating with an age gap. We are lucky to have Lubna Hoque, an articulate British Bangladeshi writer who identifies as queer and polyamorous, who shares her unique experience with the love of a lifetime with a 37 year age gap, who sadly passed in 2019.

Some things sound good on paper, but when you apply it to real life, it loses its appeal. The same can be said about Long Distance Dating. I try to always remain open-minded when it comes to the realms of love, however the most important thing that I have learnt along the journey is knowing yourself and what is realistic FOR YOU. The idea of love surviving overseas (or across post codes) is a romantic notion, but the real time, day to day concept is much more difficult to sustain. It has taken a while, but I know myself and what makes me happy. Unfortunately, long distance relationships don't quite cut it. And believe me, I have tried.

How is it already August 2023! Apologies for the delay but we're back! On this episode of Lost in Love, I learn a new word, hesidating, that explores hesitancy and apathy around dating. Can we even be bothered anymore to keep asking the same questions and getting the same disappointments? I talk about some of my personal experiences and how we find ourselves in an uncertain place in the dating realm, particularly post-Covid and in a world that seems to have more and more natural disasters happening everyday. Is the Amazon-style of dating the new norm, or does effort, commitment and communication still exist in the traditional sense when meeting "the one"?

On the second episode of 2023 on Lost in Love, I discuss the common thoughts around dating someone with children? As someone who changed their whole perspective on this topic, I share with you the ways to prepare for issues that may arise. I delve into areas including priority, meeting the kids and being transparent about what you both want moving forward. It isn't easy, dating someone with kids, however, if you enter the conversation, prepared and with acknowledgement to what you may face ahead, it can be a liiiittle bit easier to accept. The most important advice I would share is to make sure YOUR cup is filled from within, before you decide to embark on this journey. What do you think?

It is 2023 and we are back with a bang! On my podcast Lost in Love, I reflect on my introduction to the world of Serial Dating. It is a rollercoaster of a journey into the good, the bad and the ugly sides to what is the fastest growing dating phenomenom, due to the rise of online dating.
