For this weeks sermon James takes a look at the mission of the church as well as some ways we hope to accomplish it this year. 

THe last week of our Advent series we look at the fulfiment of the promises of the Old Testament in the Birth of Jesus. 

Over the last four weeks we have looked at the following moments in human history in-which Christ was promised.  He was the plan from the foundation of the world. There was and is no plan “B-Z.”  He was promised in the darkest moment of human history, the fall of man into sin.  He was promised to Abraham, for Christ is the fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant.  He was promised to David, for Christ is the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant.    Then this morning we are going to look at the moment in which Christ was promised to Mary.

the Davidic covenant. Thus, Christ is the promised offspring of David that would establish an eternal Kingdom that would not end. So as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we are celebrating the birth of the one true King that is eternal, just, and righteous. Because Jesus is the King we respond by repenting and believing upon Him for salvation, a salvation that will never end because His reign will never end. Thus, as we live on this earth we are His ambassadors living out and speaking the Gospel.

During the second week of Advent we take a look at Geneis 3 at the fact that Christ was promised from the fall of mankind. 

This weeks sermon we take a look at John 7:39-52, but many focus upon the work of the Holy Spirit. 

In this weeks sermon we look at John 7:37-38. Looking at the fact that Jesus is The True Living Rock that poured out His blood and water for our salvation and provisions. 

This weeks sermon was from John 7:25-31. 

In this weeks sermon, James White preaches through John 7:14-24. The main point of the text is that after arriving in Judea for the Festival of the Booths Jesus begins to teach in the temple. In doing so the crowds begin to marvel about His knowledge of the scripture. This lead to the conversation about the desire of the Jews to Kill Him due to His work on the Sabbath. He compares and explains that His work was greater than that of those who preform circumcision on the Sabbath. 

During this weeks sermon, James preaches on John 7:1-13. Mainly looking at the fat tht the world hated Jesus in His day, and still do because he reveals that their works are evil.  Main Point of Text: Christ’s brothers encouraged Him to go and gather a great following in Judea, if he is truly is the messiah, for they did not believe in HIm. Jesus then responds by saying it was not yet His time to go up, because the world hated Him.   

James preaches through John 6:52-72. Indoing so he explains that, "Unless we look upon Christ in salation by eating and drinking of the body and blood of Christ we can not be saved, but this is not of our own ability. This is because we are saved when the Father draws us through the Spirit to trust in Chirst."
