I’ve been thinking a lot about something neurosurgeon Dr. Jim Doty once said:
“The brain can’t tell the difference between something that’s real and something that’s vividly imagined.”
When I related that to tinnitus, it blew my mind.
Because with tinnitus, our brains are reacting to a sound that’s real to us, but invisible to everyone else. And the more we fear it, check it, and focus on it… the more our brain treats it like a threat.
In this video, I’m diving into:
🧠Why your subconscious plays such a big role in your tinnitus experience
🧠How fear loops can make tinnitus feel louder and more intrusive
🧠How childhood patterns and beliefs shape the way we react to it
🧠Practical tools to rewire your brain’s response and move toward habituation
This isn’t about “thinking your tinnitus away”
It’s about understanding how your mind and body are connected and how changing the story you tell yourself can help you reclaim your peace.
If you’ve ever wondered why tinnitus feels worse when you’re anxious, or why it’s so hard to stop thinking about it, this one’s for you.
Let’s talk about the mind–tinnitus connection and how we can use it to heal 💬
