Someone who has been true to his roots, art and culture. A calm, composed and a humble soul from the city which is known as the Scotland of India, Shillong. I had a great time having a conversation with Rudy on how the current times have made us so restless to get instant fame as compared to the past. An old friend, always grounded and true to his roots and Kashmir with his poetry. I had so much fun catching up with Khalid Ahamed from the band Parvaaz, before he left to Kashmir, his home. He has been happy as his flight got confirmed after multiple cancellations due to the current COVID lockdown situation. I heard from him as he finally made it home, closer to nature and even managed to carry his acoustic guitar. That's a great news for us to expect some new music by the talented artist. How beautiful it was to introduce her about the show after 40 mins of being indulged in a conversation. It stood well for the title of my podcast. Abhilasha has been active with her songwriting, being vocal about body freedom and political unrest. A girl from Delhi and currently in LA, USA, she has a lot to share about her journey so far. You can find her happy face here https://www.instagram.com/abhilasha_sinha/
I was nervous to start my series with a person like Rahul Ram, who is a book in himself every youth should try and read. Be it with Indian Ocean or Aisi Taisi Democracy and his life as a citizen of India, experiences, all add up to a story I am further curious to explore after my conversation with him. We got so involved in our chat, he even stopped me from asking a question and started sharing a story from 2009 related to a Bhupen Hazarika song.
